You knew this'd happen...
You always did. You ware just trying to convince yourself it wasn't.
You weren't dumb. You saw how interested he was in Adrien. Once you saw his house and heard about his Mom's career in modeling, it was pretty obvious... Jake was just using you. He was using you to get close to Adrien.
Even though you knew it all, you still hung onto the false hope it gave you. You tried to convince yourself he was a good person. You wanted a friend; you didn't care if he was fake, you just didn't want to be alone again.
But you were stupid. Obviously, he'd abandon you. What did you think? Could you not see how dismissive he was towards you?? Of course, you did; you just didn't want to acknowledge it...
You wanted to be angry...
But you couldn't. All you could feel was sadness.
"Finally... Finally! She has strong enough emotions! I've been waiting for this..." The man laughed. Finally, he'd know ladybug's identity! He sent out an Akuma with a malicious smirk.
Somehow, as soon as Y/N was de-akumatized, Ladybug's... Miraculous dust, or whatever it was, had seeped into his base. It consumed him and dispersed shortly after, leaving him with no memory of who Ladybug was.
And that made him mad.
"Go, my little Akuma, evilize her, quickly!"
You saw a purple butterfly in the corner of your eye fluttering toward you. You scoffed as you stared at it.
"Hawkmoth, you sure are desperate..."
You got up and started to walk home in order to get the paper with the sad face on it, the akuma following, but keeping in the shadows. You thought about your last akumatization.
"Hmmm... You know, last time, I was so... Heartless." You sighed, thinking over how other people's sadness made you happy, and how happiness made you feel sick. Was that the effect of the Akuma? You glanced at the akuma with a sigh. Should you really be doing this...?
No one really cared.
You didn't.
Did anyone else?
You decided to not bother with overthinking and started to run home. You just wanted the sadness to stop. The feeling of your heart being tugged down, consumed by sadness... The constant thoughts of Jake's betrayal repeating over and over... You wanted it to stop.
The akuma would help.
You ran into your house, not bothering to close the door behind you. You burst into your room, quickly running to your desk and grabbing the note. You let out a sigh and glanced at the akuma in the corner of your eye, which was slowly fluttering toward you. It was absorbed into your paper, and your eyes were covered by that familiar purple butterfly.
"Hey, hawky..." You sighed, a tired smile on your face.
"Y/N L/N. You've been betrayed by a f-"
"Oh, shut up. I don't need that stupid speech, just turn me, already... Same thing as last time, but with all the powers this time, yeah?" You sighed. Hawkmoth tutted and you were turned into the same entity as before.
A wispy form, inverted eyes, and a malicious smirk.
You were happy to be back.
