Chapter 4: New Life
After a supple meal, Rias showed Harry back to his room, who was still deep in thought about what he learned, and he decided to just recover for the rest of the day as he was still feeling extremely weak and exhausted. At least he finally knew the truth about his Parents, and that they probably loved him since they fought to protect him until their last breath.
He was also worried about why Voldemort targeted him, what was so special about a toddler that one of the most powerful beings of a Community filled with other Witches and Wizards wanted to kill said toddler.
So many questions he had no answers to since the involved parties were dead and the Devils just had rudimentary access to information in that particular Community since they were of no major Concern.
At the end of the day, he fell asleep much calmer, since at last he now knew who he was and where he came from.

The next morning Harry was woken up by an excited Rias, the red-haired beauty pulled him out of his bed and forced him to quickly dress up. "Come on Harry. You slept enough. It's time to show you the Mansion and the Area. But first I want to introduce you to my Queen. One of my closest friends!"
'Queen!?' thought a confused and now nervous Harry as he got pulled by the red-haired girl towards a room close to his own, in the same section of the Mansion.
"This is my personal living room. For my and my Peerages personal use. This is where I will usually meet my Friends." Explained Rias as she opened the wooden door and pulled him inside. Inside there was a nice but more modern decorated room, with multiple seating possibilities and a Table, a TV, and multiple different drawers.
Waiting for them already was a beautiful young girl around their age with long and silky black hair, tied in a Ponytail. She had nice Violet eyes and wore nice cute clothes as she was currently enjoying a cup of tea while she sat at the table.
"There you are." Smiled the dark-haired girl with a strained but polite smile as they entered the room.
"This is Harry, Akeno. The new member of my Peerage." Introduced Rias with a bright smile as they stopped at the table, "And Harry, this is my Queen Akeno."
"It's nice to meet you, Harry-kun." Greeted Akeno as she looked at the nervous boy carefully as her previous experiences made her mistrustful of the male gender.
Harry instantly straightened up and performed a slight bow as he greeted the girl, "Eh. It's an honor to meet you, your Majesty." Trying his best to remember how people in the Teli would interact with the British Royal family while meeting them. This was hard for Harry since he never was allowed to watch Television with the Dursleys and only managed to catch a few fleeting glances, while he was grabbing or bringing something for them.
The other two people in the room were at first startled for a few moments as they looked at the nervous boy before they broke out into giggles, while the Atmosphere lightened considerably up.
"Ara ara, ufufufufu~" giggled Akeno, "No need to treat me like royalty, Harry-kun. My role as a member of Rias Peerage is just Queen. There is no longer any Royalty in Devil Society, just Nobility."
"Role? What does that mean?" asked Harry a bit confused and embarrassed.
"Ah, I didn't explain that yet. Neither about Devils in general." Remembered Rias while she was still smiling amused, "Long time ago, there was a three-sided war between the Devils, the Fallen Angels, and God with its Angels followers. All three sides had a large army and they fought for almost eternity. As a result, all three sides lost most of their troops and the war finished several hundred years ago with no side winning."
Akeno continued with the explanation, "I heard that most of the pure Devils passed away in that war. Even after the war, there are still problems between the Devils, the Fallen Angels, and God. Even though the Fallen Angels' and God's side also lost most of their troops, we are still in a position where we can't let our guard down, or else we will be in trouble."
Rias spoke again, "Then the Devils looked for many ways to bring their numbers up again." Harry remembered that Wizards and Witches are just the result of one of these attempts. "In the end, they decided to use a system to form a small group of soldiers. And that is the Evil Piece."
"Evil Piece?" Harry listened carefully.
"Devils with Peerage decide to use the traits of the human's game 'Chess' to their Servant Devils. It was also sarcasm because most of the servants are Devils that were reincarnated from humans. Since then, Chess became a popular game in the Underworld. We'll leave that aside. Devils who are masters are the King of the Peerage. In our case, that is me. From there, they created 5 special traits that consist of a Queen, Knight, Rook, Bishop, and Pawn. Since they couldn't make an army, they decided to have a small number of Devils and give them enormous powers. This system was made in the past few centuries, and this unexpectedly became popular amongst Devils with a peerage."
"What became popular? The Game Chess?" asked Harry as he watched the excited Girl giving him an explanation.
"They started to compete against each other. For example like, 'My Knight is stronger!', or 'No, my Rook is stronger!' As a result, High-class Devils started to play a game like that of Chess against each other using their Servant Devils. We call it the 'Rating Game'. Anyway, this game became very popular amongst the Devils. Now, there are even tournaments for it. The strength of their Pieces and also how strong they are at the game affects the Devils' social position and their peerage. There is a thing called Piece Collection where they gather humans with talents and make them into their Pieces. It's very popular recently. Talented servants become their status."
"Will I also have to fight in these Rating Games?" questioned Harry interested.
"I'm not a mature Devil yet, so I can't participate in the official tournament. Even if I could, there are things that I need to go through, or else I can't play. My Peerage consists only of you and Akeno for now, we won't be participating in a game for a few years yet. I met Akeno just last month." Explained Rias, remembering something with a frown before she smiled again. "But we will absolutely participate one day since I want to become the Rating Game Champion." She said with conviction.
"I see. It sounds interesting. Will I be able to get my own Peerage one day?" asked Harry interestingly, since he wanted to learn how restricted he was in this new Society.
"Yes, you can get your own set once you reach the Rank of a High-Class Devil. Your Demonic Power is at that point stable enough that you can support and reincarnate Devils." Replied Rias.
"Stable?"
"Right now the Demonic Power inside you is very unstable and volatile. Since I gave you a bit of my Demonic Power to reincarnate you, it is stable around me. That's also one of the Reasons I slept with you the first day. If you were to run away, you would slowly lose control and become corrupted if your will isn't powerful enough. This is what we call a Stray Devil, they usually go berserk and hurt innocents." Rias explained seriously.
"Oh." Murmured Harry, having his Obscurus transformation and the pain still present in his mind.
"As for the Roles in a Peerage, each piece has a value, the highest value piece is the Queen, followed by the Rook, Bishop, and Knight, with the least valuable being the Pawn. Akeno received the Queen Piece which gives a major boost to all her abilities. The Queen acts as the right hand of the King. Then there is the Knight which gives a major boost to Speed and Dextery, and the Rook with a Boost to Strength and Endurance. The Bishop Piece gives a huge boost in Magical Abilities."
"Which piece do I have?" asked Harry hopefully.
"You are my Pawn." Replied Rias when she saw Harry's downcast look she began to laugh, "Don't worry Harry. You are misunderstanding again. We count the Value of each piece in Pawns, the more powerful or potential the target has the more value we need to reincarnate it. For example, the Queen is worth, 9 Pawns. The Rook 5, the Bishop and Knight each 3. But you not only can use one piece each you can use multiple of each piece. I tried to reincarnate you with a Rook and later two knight Pieces. But both didn't have enough value to reincarnate you. I needed all of my eight Pawn pieces to successfully reincarnate you." Said Rias brightly.
"What?" Harry was shocked, "How could that be? I am just Harry. There is nothing special about me. Even my Wizard heritage is a watered-down version of being a Devil as far as I understood that."
"I believe there is a Sacred Gear inside of you."
