[On hiatus/discontinued for the foreseeable future, as I haven't found the inspiration or motivation to update in a long time. Thank you to everyone who has read it thus far and liked my extremely juvenile writing, your comments gave me so much joy. -
Gaia woke up to the pounding of her head, as if someone took a hammer to it. Images flashed in her mind, but they seemed... off. None of the images were from a person's point of view, but a cameras, only there to take in the scene. Frowning, she sat up, and that's when she noticed her surroundings. It was a plain white room, with only a table, a nightstand, a wardrobe, and a large bookshelf. Gaia put up her guard, looking at the door across from her, waiting for someone to appear.
"Hello Host~! I'm System #2883! Nice to meet you~!"
Gaia whipped her head around, taking in everything in the room, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. She frowned, where did the voice come from.
"Hehe, silly Host! I'm in your head of course! Now let's get on to the main event, please listen carefully~!" The voice cleared it's throat, and with that came the sound of rustling paper. "Ahem, congratulations Host! You have been bound to the system, which is me. You are bound to the insert here system... ahh wait."
Gaia's mouth twitched. Is this child-sounding system reading from a script?
"Host, please let me finish!" the system said in a pouting voice. "As I was saying, you have been bound to the childhood friend system! Your overall mission is to help lead the original soul to a happy life. Of course, you also have to complete their wishes, also called main missions. Each mission gives points, which you can use in the system store. It is also extremely important to live a complete life, because if you do not die of natural causes enough times, you will be sent to a punishment world.
"Now, continuing on, the reason for your arrival here is for you to return to your world, but since there is some, let's just say glitches, you need to obtain 10 crystals, also known as The Big Bang Crystals. These will fix your universe, so you can go home! Okay, any questions?"
Pondering for a moment as the system put away the paper, as the rustling sounds came back, Gaia asked, "Are these my memories? They don't seem like it."
"Ah, yes, your memories. Well, when I bonded to you, these were the memories you had. Perhaps they will come back when you return home?"
Gaia frowned, these memories did not give her any information, other than her name, Gaia. She shook her head, disregarding the fragmented and strange memories. Getting out of the bed she was in, she stretched and asked the system, "Well, what do I do?"
System 2883 answered her with a cheerful voice. "Since this is host's first time traveling worlds, this is a tutorial world, designed to get you used to the mechanics of the system. Of course, one of the crystals is in this world as well, I made sure of that. Isn't that great, Host~?"
Gaia nodded, this did make things a lot easier, as she didn't have to waste her time on practice for something she can probably do pretty easily.
"Great! Just head through the door host and we can be on our merry way!" The system's cheerfulness made Gaia want to slam her head against the wall, but she calmed down and did what she was supposed to.
"Alright System, let's do this."
