Encounter

Seeing him about to faint I quickly jump out of the bushes and punt the Pikachu about to hit him mid quick attack.

I look down at him before grabbing him up and sprinting a random direction.

He looks up to me in surprise before quickly snapping back to caution and distrust while trying to get out of my grip. I look down at him and say,

"Calm down Pikachu! I'm trying to save you from those other Pikachus!"

He still struggles while the weather picks up as storm arrives and the drizzle becomes a heavy rain.

I look behind me and see a small herd of electric mouses after us.

"Damn!"

I continue to run deeper into the forest as thunder starts to rumble in the skies above.

As the ground soaks from the heavy rain I start to slip on the ground before eventually tumbling down a small hill dropping Pikachu in the process.

"Pikachu!"

I watch as he rolls down the hill under me gaining more injuries, I grit my teeth in anger before getting back up.

I quickly pick up my pace as I head over to him but just before I get there I'm jolted by a thundershock and stumble barely holding myself up over him.

I grit my teeth tighter as I continue to be barrages by the electric attacks from the herd of Pikachu behind me.

Pikachu look up at me in wonder, it probably has never experienced anything like this before. It has had to only watch over himself his entire life, I am probably the only being to have ever helped him.

He seems confused and even scared as I continue to be barraged from all sides before I look at its eyes and see determination in them. He scurried out from under me and hops infront of me to confront the Pikachus attacking us.

They launch their strongest thunder shocks as he jumps up into the air infront of them. All the bolts of lightning redirect into him before absorbing him as all the hair on him stands up.

I see electricity coat his body as he seems to supercharge mid jump before letting off a massive thunder attack in response,

"Pika...CHUU!"

BOOM!

His attack shreds through the air and slams into the other Pikachus before sending them flying off away from us. He looks over to me as he collapses on the ground.

I quickly get up and slide towards him and check his condition. Other than his injuries and exhaustion he seems to be find and will survive. As I go to pick him up I hear an ear piercing screech,

"SCREEEECH!!"

Coinciding the screech is the loudest rumble of thunder I have heard so far as the sky lights up.

I look towards the sky and can hardly believe my eyes.

A majestic yet extremely intimidating bird is hovering above us in the clouds..

Pikachu looks up alongside me and his eyes widen as much as my own.

"SCREEE!"

The bir-no beast we see is 7 feet big and gives off an indescribable pressure towards us.

"...Zapdos..."

The yellow bird that looks like it was sculpted by lightning itself glares down at us as Pikachu shivers in my embrace.

"...Shit."

It seems to be aggressive towards us as I notice it's increasingly pressuring glare leveled towards Pikachu.

Pikachu stops shivering and quickly jumps out of my grip towards it.

I hear another rumble in the sky as I begin to understand what occurred.

It believes that Pikachu challenged it. The attack he let off towards the other Pikachu was heard by the legendary thunderbird and was view as a challenge towards its authority.

I panic as I look toward Pikachu who stands on his four feet infront of me. He looks over at me with what seems to be it's last look before charging at the thunderbird.

"PIKACHU! STOP!"

I scream at the top of my lungs as I sprint after him as he jumps towards the Zapdos. Under my distress I don't notice my body radiate a red energy that covers Pikachu as the attack is sent. My ears drums practically burst under the ear shattering thunder.

KRAK KOOOOM!!

I watch as possibly the strongest bolt of lightning that has ever existed slams straight into the small frame of Pikachu. The bolt is so powerful it turns blue on its release.

I despair as it's impossible for Pikachu to not have imploded from that attack. As a shockwave of power and electricity radiates from where Pikachu was jumping. My eyes blind as they see white from the blinding light and roaring thunder.

I open my eyes and see Pikachu collapsed on the ground unknown if he survived but at the very least he didn't implode.

The Zapdos looks at me with a strange expression after noticing the Red Aura radiating out of my body. It seems to quickly realize something before screeching once more and leaving the area as the thunderstorm subsides.

This all goes unnoticed by me as I sprint up to Pikachu.

I kneel next to him and check his vitals. His body radiates blue electricity as his hair stand up from the static. I notice his heart stopped and begin to attempt chest compressions. After a bit of time his heart restarts as he spasms upwards puking out his light ball.

I look at the light ball he threw up and notice it has completely changed color to a light blue. I can physically feel the pure energy radiating off of it.

Pikachu is extremely injured as I panic because I don't think I can save him.

I attempt everything even the locked system before it finally responds.

I quickly summon the potion from my inventory and spray Pikachu until he slowly heals. I breath a sigh of relief before collapsing alongside him.
