Bringing Fu Yan to his home was a decision Hirvan made on impulse. It wasn't until they were halfway up the staircase that he began to consider the potential misunderstanding from his family. Unfortunately, it was already too late.
"Look who's here! The famous boyfriend!"
Sheryl's voice rang out, full of teasing glee as she appeared at the top of the stairs. She crossed her arms and leaned against the railing, a smirk dancing on her lips.
"We had a bet on how long it would take before you brought him home. And I won!"
Hirvan's hand tightened on Fu Yan's arm, and he felt a flush of irritation rise up in him. He rubbed his forehead with his free hand, trying to suppress the growing headache.
"Who's 'we'? Mum's in on this too? And for your information, he is not my boyfriend!" Hirvan shot back, his voice tight with annoyance.
Sheryl chuckled, clearly enjoying herself.
