66 Chess Pieces

"Dammit!! I swear on One Above All that when I see that bastard(Alfie McBride) I will fucking strangle him!!" The blonde lifer thought out loud.

Hunter (Green Arrow), Dominic (Batman) and Selena (Queen of the Amazons) was ready to make their moves from finding Alfie and hunting him down, and work with the newly half-formed Avengers to make things easier.

But before they knew it they were seperated with their own worries and had their attention somewhere else. Alfie's plan no doubt.

Dominic, who donned the shadows of the night, has been busy trying to protect his parents and his company from shadows and enslaved agents, who carried the symbol of S.H.I.E.L.D., but they knew better that it was HYDRA.

This was why they wanted to knock some sense into Alfie before it all goes crazy, because organizations like The Hand and HYDRA are not involved—should not be involved with anything big at this time.

It was only later that they started to become visible during the Winter Soldier time.

But now they have popped out of their transparency all because the enslaved Alfie knew about them.

They could only hope that Alfie McBride doesn't feed Loki anything he wasn't supposed to.

Hunter on the other hand had stuck with his family closely. Since just like Dominic's situation, Hunter has trouble with The Hand and HYDRA, mostly HYDRA.

His family has been targeted again and again. His company is strong enough to stand and not be bothered by outside influence so he didn't have to worry about that.

But he has had enough of it, he knew the risk he brought when he wanted to play hero in the real world but he was angry, he was careless.

Who would have thought a person who has been reincarnated into a world would be enslaved? And worst of all that person knew bits and pieces about the happenings of this world and so forth.

But now Hunter regretted showing his face to Alfie.

If he knew something like this would have happened he never would have unmasked himself.

But this was only a move in the chess pieces to keep them busy, there is a chance the Alfie was trying to keep attention away from Loki considering the trickster hasn't shown himself for quite a while.

He should be squirming to show his face, Hunter thought.

For now he was able to keep his wife and kids safe but he will need to take them somewhere safe before he can make his move—their move against Alfie or else none of these problems will stop.

Queen Selena of Deliosa was also having problems, her sister Caterina who had escaped got her full attention.

Of course, something as small as an escapee from the bars of Deliosa could be handled as easily as sending a few Queensguard to apprehend and bring the escapee's back.

But this one was different, Caterina had royal blood and is stronger than most of these Amazons. And if that wasn't worse she is the daughter of the famous former Queen Metisia and the sister of the current Queen Selena.

A lot could go wrong.

Like a few days ago before all of their loved ones were targeted.

On breaking news, a woman was seen terrorizing the streets of Manhattan. An enhanced woman, unknown to them she was Caterina, an Amazon.

Caterina seemed to have gone off on a rampage and destroyed a few vehicles, and private properties before law enforcements arrived, and it turned into casualties for them.

And so even though this was a family problem, it leaned more towards being a diplomatic situation.

No one has identified Caterina as of yet but there was no doubt one of the Axis in WWII would be identified soon.

And if so, then Selena and her people would have a lot to answer to. And so her and her Amazons spread out through Manhattan trying to find her.

Seeing how stretched thin they are, Hunter could only think of one place where he could leave his family and not worry about them.

A quinn-jet sped past through the skies all the way towards Europe, heading for Germany.

In a certain museum, a trail of unconscious, or dead bodies were left in an empty hallway.

At the end of the hallway, a man lay dead on top of a desk.

A young man and woman tidied their suit and dress as not a single wrinkle, dirt or blood was on it despite the obvious struggle they went through.

The young man casually threw a device towards the ground as if it was trash.

The man laying on top of the desk had one of his eyes bloody and unrecognizable.

Elsewhere a cafe was bustling with civilians going along with their days, while outside on the tables a finely dressed man with sleek hair drank his coffee calmly.

Though he was there physically, he was having a conversation within his mind. Talking to a certain alien, an advisor of sorts.

"Agh!" Loki grunted as if he was just hit in the head, returning to reality.

The Mad Titan's underling was a fool, one that doesn't know his place. Daringly talking down to a god. Loki will show him, he will show him soon.

As he waited, he wondered how his strategist was holding up against his so-called brother.

"Aaagghhhh!!" Thor screamed in anger as he punched out only to miss his targets.

It has only been a few minutes since he landed on earth looking for his brother, but his time was wasted by a man he couldn't help but acknowledge. Tricky, but skilled.

The black and orange man in front of him was like a ghost, he just couldn't touch him.

Every time he would strike out, he couldn't hit anything, he was too quick and slippery.

And that tricky staff he had, it was hard to keep up with. At times it felt like there was more than one, as he would be hit in one place twice or thrice, or different areas a few times in just the span of a few seconds.

*THUNK* *THUNK* *DING*

"AAAGGHHHH, BASTARD!" The side of Thor's face was hit more than five times before he lunged forward to grab Alfie only for him to grab nothing and another hit to the back of the head.

Thor held his head as he turned back to face Alfie.

"Alright you monkey man!! You will stop this at once or you will face my wrath!!" Thor demanded as he held his hand up, calling for his hammer.

He doesn't know how, or where but his hammer is far away. As if on the far side of midgard.

Alfie didn't speak, only running forward towards Thor.

"Then so be it!" Thor screamed as he lunged towards Alfie.

Thor dashed and appeared right in front of Alfie and punched out with speed, but through Alfie's mask, his eyes shined gold as he saw the coming giant fist.

Chi spread throughout Alfie's veins, muscles and bones as he moved better than he ever did, dodging the punch.

The end of his staff ran through Thor's stretched out fist and struck his face heavily as Thor wobbled back holding his face.

It should have definitely hurt, considering Alfie put a lot of power into that hit and swung the staff as if it was a bat. Alfie had experience swinging a bat, and it made it worse when he was basically superhuman.

Seeing Thor out of balance and stunned, Alfie did a kick sweep tripping Thor onto the ground before a thrust came down stabbing at his throat with the end of the staff.

Thor coughed out.

And he kicked out in anger, Alfie blocked the kick as he was sent flying back a few feet landing gracefully.

Thor then stood up, quietly, but definitely angry.

Alfie retracted his staff before exchanging it for his sword.

"You've done it." Thor murmured.

Back to Germany.

In front of the sitting Loki, Captain America appeared.

The area was cleared of civilians.

"Ah, the soldier, the man out of time."

"I'm not the one who's out of time." Captain America responded.

*WIIINNG*

The sound of mechanical whirs sounded as Loki looked behind him.

"Make your move, reindeer games." Iron Man spoke out, all his suits weapons pointing at Loki.

"Loki, stand down!" The quinn-jet hovered above them.

They covered all of Loki's exits, trapping him.

"It seems my tour isn't too welcoming." Loki said.

"Tour? Is that what this is? After everything that's happened? Mighty balls you got." Iron Man said bewildered.

"You've stolen government property and hurt people, what do you think?" Captain America asked rhetorically.

"Is that what you've really come for? Or is it because of our friend? How curious." Loki said. "I have to say, he is really useful, a good soldier I must admit."

"Where is he?" Captain America asked.

"You will see him soon."

"Alright, that's enough." Iron man said before he fired out.

*PEW* *THOOSH*

They prepared for a fight.

But Loki was blasted by Iron Man's beam and was sent flying towards the other table and chairs as he laughed.

"Hahaha I give, I give." Loki stood up with his hands in the air.

They didn't like that, it was too easy.
