Into the Venom Wood

As night passed into morning, Znozor was roused from his sleep by Branoc, who urgently shook him awake.Yawning and still half-asleep, Znozor questioned why he was being woken up so early, especially when the sun hadn't yet risen, and it was still dark.

Branoc replied with a sense of purpose, "It's time!"

Znozor, puzzled, asked, "Time for what?"

Branoc responded, "For these disgusting creatures to go back into their holes."

Znozor, still groggy, questioned why it was necessary to wake up early in the morning just to let the scorpions return to their holes.

Branoc's response was curt: "It's also time to kill them."

Znozor was taken aback and protested, "Are you out of your mind? Why kill them when they're going to leave anyway?"

Branoc silenced him with a stern "Stay silent."

The scorpions began retreating into their holes as the sun began to rise, and almost all of them had disappeared.

As the last few stragglers attempted to return to their holes, Branoc swiftly used a slingshot to shoot a black magic ball at them.

Upon impact, a small explosion occurred, and the scorpions were set on fire. They struggled to return to their holes, screaming in agony before succumbing to the flames.

Branoc seemed to relish the spectacle of their deaths, and then he threw a rope down from the treetop.

Znozor, still trying to shake off sleepiness, remarked lazily, "What a crazy guy!"

Branoc descended from the tree with haste and rushed towards the now-dead scorpions. He took out a bamboo flask container and a small knife and proceeded to extract venom from the scorpions' stingers.

Znozor eventually joined him on the ground and inquired, "Why did you kill all these scorpions?"

Branoc replied, "Can't you see? I needed the venom for my spider bullets."

Znozor, puzzled, asked, "But why were you in such a hurry? You could have collected the venom easily now that you've killed them."

Branoc explained, "As the sun rises and it gets brighter, the scorpions will burn and disappear, and I won't be able to collect venom from them."

Znozor, now understanding the urgency, said, "Wow, I didn't know that. You should hurry, then."

Branoc snapped, "Shut up!" and continued collecting venom from the scorpions.

After collecting all the venom he needed, Branoc let out a sigh of relief. As the first rays of sunlight hit the forest, the strange scorpions burned and turned to ashes, leaving no trace behind.

Znozor, still curious, asked, "Now what are you going to do with that venom?"

Branoc, looking a bit embarrassed, confessed, "I needed this venom to save my people." He explained that deep within the forest, there was a cave where his family was trapped. Outside that cave was a giant monster that couldn't be defeated with normal swords or arrows. Branoc was making venomous bullets to kill that giant and rescue his family.

Znozor, showing his willingness to help, said, "I'll assist you in killing that giant monster."

Branoc, filled with excitement, jumped for joy, exclaiming, "Yippee! Together, you and I can definitely kill that giant monster."

Znozor agreed, saying, "You work on your bullets, and I'll go find some food for us."

He then set off towards the river to search for food, while Branoc focused on crafting his magical bullets.
