"Ugh! I don't see why we have to attend an assembly right now. It's almost time to go home." Aphmau complained.

"The teacher said the principal wanted to have a few words with the students to congratulate them on a successful first week." I told her.

"Couldn't he just congratulate us by letting us go home early?" Aphmau grumbled.

"Meh, that'd be too easy, obviously." Travis said nudging her a bit.

Aphmau laughed nervously.

"So, y'all never did tell me why y'all weren't in gym class. Did something happen?" Travis asked looking between me and Aph.

W-We, um, got really sick, suddenly. Heh. Aphmau said not being confident in her lie at all.

"Are you sure?" Travis said not buying it.

"U-Uh, of course I'm sure! Why would I lie about that?" Aphmau said a little angry.

"Wow, you know you didn't have to be so angry-" Travis started but then gasped. "Ohhh, I get it. S-Sorry, that-that's girl stuff, my bad." he said stuttering a bit.

"What?! No, not- Travis, that's not-uh.... Just forget it." I said just so he'd stop asking questions.

Travis was the first friend I made here who didn't ignore me. I didn't want him to think I was some bad girl who got in trouble all the time. Even though I kinda was...

Travis: Well, look, whatever happened, just let me know if I can help next time. Okay?

Heh, sure. Uh, thanks, Travis. I said.

Heh. Oh! Um, t-that reminds me. Do y'all... do y'all mind if I gave you both my phone number? he asked not really confidently.

"Oh, um, sure!" Aph said while I just nodded happily.

"Since it's the weekend, and if you wanted to talk about anything, well, you could text me, or something, call me, I-I don't know." he mumbled.

Heh, Thanks! I said grinning at him.

We walked down the hall to the assembly and grabbed our seats.

"Testing, testing, one two three." a teacher said before the unexpected happened.

The door went flying open and made a loud noise. An adult came bolting to the podium and pushed the teacher standing there down.

"Hello, students, and congratulations on completing your first week. Truly a remarkable feat! I have no doubt that all of you have been hard at work acclimating yourselves to the year ahead. So many new things to learn! Which reminds, Mrs. Hyria" he said and walked really close to her face making her back up. "has informed me that all potions brewed in the alchemy class are not to be taken from class. Correct, Mrs. Hyria?" he said and walked back to the podium. "Ah, a fine start to an exciting new year. Now then, that ought to cover my quota for principally things for the day. I am off to go make a new scientific discovery! Good day, children." he said sprinting out the door.

Everyone in the freshman group looked dumbfounded while the sophomores juniors and seniors just walked away. Soon after the freshmen walked out as well as Aphmau Travis and I.

Well, that speech was... yeah. Anyway, y'all walk home, right? My dad's going to pick me up today, so if you wanted a ride home, I'm sure he could give y'all a lift. he offered us.

Heh, no thanks. Our mom's coming to pick us up today. I said rejecting politely.

"Ah, I see. Well, you've got my number, so text me if you want, ok?" he said to us.

"I will. And same to you, text me whenever you want." Aph said and I nodded in agreement.

Soon mom showed up in our car and yelled super loudly embarrassing me and Aphmau.

Y/N! Aphmau! Vamenos, get your butts over here! Wait, is that a boy?!?! she yelled glaring at Travis.

"Uhhh, mom! Stop yelling and honking the horn!" I said looking around glaring at people telling them to mind their business.

Hey, you with the white hair! Don't get any ideas with my daughters! Remember, you marry into this family, you have to deal with me! she said glaring even harder that her eyes might as well fall out.

Oh my Irene your mom is so embarrassing. Travis said.

"I know, right!" Aphmau said.

On that note Travis please don't tell anyone Aph and I are related. I whispered so only he could hear. Why? he whispered back. Just...please don't. I said still whispering. he just nodded and we continued on.

Um, miss? I'm just Aphmau and Y/N's not-alone buddy. Travis explained to mom.

Oh, if that were the case, why didn't you just say so? Alright then, it was nice to meet you. Come on, girls, let's get going! she said motioning us to get in the car.

"Heheh, see you later, Travis!" Aphmau said. As I waved.

"See ya!" he said waving back.

I was watching MLH on my phone when Aphmau started talking to herself again.

Huh? Uh... Laurence!" Aphmau says looking at her phone.

Aphmau's Point Of View

Laurance: Aphmau? Hey! :D

Aphmau: Laurance? Hi!

He's texting me? What the?

Laurance: Hey, you free to hang out today?

Laurance: Yeah I was thinking we could chill at the park down the street from your place

Laurance: Another friend of mine is going to stop by too but you can bring your friend Y/N right?

Aphmau:.Uh, "Ok, cool. I have to ask my mom and Y/N first.

I squeal and Y/N looks at me like I'm a big weirdo.

Laurance: Cool. I'm headed there now, ttyl. :D

Y/N wanna hang at the park with me and Laurance? I ask her.

"May we go to the park to hang out with a friend?" I ask her.

"A boy friend?" she said already knowing.

Hey, Aphmau! she said before breathing it out. Fine, y'all can go- Only if you promise to tell me everything that happened if I ask you. she said strictly.

"Of course I will, mom. You know you can trust me." I said proudly.

You know I trust you. I just don't trust your sister..... or other people. Not only that, but the thought of my babies dating is just- oh! she said before she started crying and muttering in Spanish.

Mom, we'll be fine! I said reassuringly.

"Ok, just, no kissing or anything! I swear!" she threatened.

Kissing is gross, mom. Ew. Only mommy kisses are best kisses. Y/N said trying to

butter her up so she can go out and have some fun.

"That's my girl. Have fun and be safe! Remember to be back at nine." she said to us.

We will! me and N/N said at the same time walking all the way to the park.

"Man, It's been ages since I've been here! I mean, the last time I came here was when I was a little kid. Wow." I said looking around.

Aph that's sort of your fault I came out here all the time when we were being homeschooled Y/N said walking in front of me.

"Hey!" a familiar voice called out from behind me.

"Oh! Uh, do you always have to sneak up behind me?" I said a little startled.

"Haha! Sorry. I've always had this habit of doing that." he said apologetically.

"Well, maybe you could give me some warning next time?" I said after sighing.

"Heh, I did. I said Hey." he said chuckling.

"Uh, oh. R-right. heheh." I stuttered a bit losing my confidence.

Y/N snickered and I just slapped her arm telling her to stop.

"Heh, Hey. Don't get all blushy around me like that. I was enjoying your confident side." he said flirtatiously.

"Me? Confident? That isn't exactly the word I would use to describe myself, hehe." I said chuckling.

"Just, give yourself some time. Haha!" Laurence said.

I hummed in response

"Heh, I won't bite. Unless you want me to." he said flirtatiously.

I Squeak and Y/N just sort of ruined Laurence's life.

Laurence your sort of kind of doomed if we don't catch Y/N. I said dropping it all on him.

Then let's go get her he said running off me following him.

When we finally found Y/N she was talking to three people. The first one was a girl she had silver hair and purple eyes. The second one had brown hair and a dark red or brown eyes. The third one had black hair and silver eyes.

Huh? Who is she talking to Laurance? I ask him

He just growls and marches over there as I follow.

"Good to see you around this park again, Laurance." the boy with black hair said smirking.

"Ugh, Gene." Laurence said with disgust in his voice at the name Gene.

"Trying to be forward there, eh?" The Gene guy said.

"Who are you?" I asked him.

"What do you want, Gene?" Laurence said hatred in his voice more than before.

Geez, we just wanted to say "Hi" Laurance. Gosh. the silver haired girl said.

So rude. the brown haired boy said.

"Who are these guys?" I asked Laurence but kept my eyes on Laurence.

"Haven't even properly introduced us to her, eh?" Gene said.

Laurance: "I'd rather not introduce her-" Laurence started before Y/N cut him off.

This is Aphmau guys! she said pointing at me.

Huh? What Y/N? Uh... I say as the Gene guy walked over to me.

"Hello, there. My name is Gene. I'm the leader of the Shadow Knights." he said.

"Sh-shadow Knights?" I said confused.

"It's our group. If you want to know more, you could always join us."

"Huh?" I said.

Laurance: "Enough, Gene. Leave her alone." Laurence said anger in his voice.

"Huh" I said AGAIN.

In any case, if y'all are interested in having some close friends, you might want to check us out. We hang out, talk about things, and sometimes do our group activities. We usually hang at this park, so feel free to stop by." he said to me and N/N.

"W-well, thank you. Uh, maybe I will stop by." I said.

I might Y/N said.

"No!" Laurance yelled.

You don't tell me what to do Laurence Y/N mumbled. What was that? he asked anger still in his voice. If I heard correctly Y/N here said you don't tell her what to do. Gene said smirking.

"Huh?" I said confused at all that was going on.

"Aphmau, we should just walk away." Laurance said to me.

Y/N mumbled something under her breath.

Wow that's just sad Y/N... the girl said.

Yeah Sasha I can't believe her own friend's would be so oblivious to this. The guy with brown hair said.

"Ugh! Come on, Aphmau. Let's go somewhere else." Laurence said grabbing my arm.

"Uh, Ok." I said following him.

Y/N's Point Of View

"You used to be cool, Laurance!" Gene yelled to him.

I can't imagine that...I said smirking.

Sasha giggled and Zenix and Gene snickered at my comment.

You know you're way to cool for those losers over there. Gene told me.

Yeah I wish other people would see that. I said.

Well you don't need other people you have us now. Sasha said.

And you can be one of us if you pass the initiation. Zenix added.

What do I have to do to be one of you? I said looking at them.

You just have to spray paint our logo somewhere. Gene stated holding out a can of spray paint.

Really? That simple that's child's play. I said taking the spray paint and walk to the bridge. I stopped when I saw Garroth Laurance and Aphmau on the bridge. I sighed in relief when they left and walked toward it. I looked at a picture of their logo and started spraying it on the bridge.

Well you passed Y/N congratulations. Gene said.

Welcome to the Shadow Knights! Sasha exclaimed. Nice to know someone else is hard-core around here.

Thanks I- I started before my mom honked her horn saying it's time to go.

Ugh it's my mom I have to go. See ya I said running off. Good thing mom didn't notice the group I was hanging with but she was embarrassing Aph.

"Aphmau, I was heading to the grocery store, and I was wondering... Wait! Is that two boys I see you with?!" Mom yelled looking at Aph.

"Mom! You said you trusted me!" Aphmau whined.

"I do! And I'm respecting your privacy by staying in my car! But I'm also asserting my authority as your parent by throwing those boys nasty looks!" she said glaring at Garroth and Laurance.

"Oh my Irene mom! Oh! I'm so sorry, guys. I'm- so embarrassed." Aphmau said apologizing to the boys.

"Don't worry about it. My dad is the same way with my sister." Laurence told her.

"Your mom is kind of scary. She's staring so hard, I feel it in my soul." Garroth said kind of creeped out. I snickered but stopped when no one noticed I was even there.

"Uh, mom, I'm coming to the store with you!" Aph yelled to mom. "Sorry to cut this short, but I want to talk to my mom about her yelling problem." Aph said to them.

"No worries. We'll see you at school, then?" Laurence said to APH.

"For sure." she responded.

"Great. Remember, you have my number if you ever want to talk. Call me." he said.

Ooh your in trouble now Aph as soon as I tell mom you have a boy your crushing on's number.

"Uh, huh? Thanks for hanging out with me! Heh. Bye!" she said walking behind me into the car.

"How many boys do you know?" Mom asked Aphmau.

Mom, can we just drive? I said.

"Fine, fine. But you know, that one boy seems familiar. I can't place my finger on it." Mom said tapping her finger on her chin.

"Mom, please! You're embarrassing me"! Aph said her face a deep red.

"Psh, Mija, that's my job. Hey, are you mad at me? You mad? Ugh, I'm sorry. Want to go to McDonald's?" Mom asked trying to get Aph to forgive her.

Yeah. Aphmau said reluctantly.

"Ok! Let's go!" Mom said.

WOOHOO MCDONALDS!! I yelled.
