Narrator's POV

The tired and exhausted Bren ran away swiftly in order to avoid being attacked by his opponent. Meanwhile, his opponent Vaughn chased him at first but he eventually thought.

"Hmm, it might be better if I just let this freak. I can eventually meet up with the targets and accomplish this mission."

And then he left. After a while of fighting and chasing, the trouble ended. Bren was not able to realize that his hunter went away because he was so focused on running away.

Vaughn is now back to his course. His next goal is to meet up with the accomplices that went ahead of him. He did not accumulate any damage with his skirmish earlier but he was left wondering who was it and what was he trying to accomplish. He started speculating about any possible enemies of him and his master, Minister Mello.

"Boss! We are here!!!!!!"

After a while of travel, he has arrived at his desired destination. He can see his three men with four other people with them. They are the Reid Squad minus their Squad Captain Reid who was believed to be dead.

"Boss, these are the members of the squad." Ricko presented to his leader.

"I see. Good work today Ricko, Kell, and Yan. Now that I found you, let me introduce myself. My name is Vaughn and I am a representative of the Minister Mello Lasterson."

"Nice to meet you, Sir Vaughn. My name is Blu and I am the leader of this squad. These are my squad members Yela, Chae, and Grim. May I ask why were you finding us?" Blu asked respectfully.

"Alright, let me break it down to you formal guy. I was ordered by the minister to have a follow-up investigation regarding the case of the Habsber Family and as you all know, you were all once part of the squad of the Habsber's Heir which is why we are here."

Grim who was just standing beside Blu suddenly interrupted.

"So you are basically accusing us that we are still involved with that family?!?!" He furiously said.

"Wait chill out giant dude! We are not saying any of those. We were just ordered to ask you some questions and if you are clear then we can just go home! Besides, we already have permission from General Raminoff. No need to be worried, unless you are hiding something....."

"You are a really saying we have a secret?!?!?!" Yela, who was clearly offended, shouted at Vaughn.

"Maybe, maybe not. That for us to find out hot-headed lady. You guys sure are hot-headed. You should follow the example of your other squad member. That shy lady is very silent and I like that."

Chae then proceeded to hide at Blu's back after being mentioned.

"I am very sorry Sir Vaughn. My squadmates are being very rude right now. May you forgive them. Don't worry, we will surely cooperate with your procedure." Blu apologized on behalf of his team.

"Oh well, it doesn't matter. As long as this is over. Let us head to your headquarters and do the interview."

"Sure thing!"

After a period of travel, the group has now arrived back at the Squad's Place. The four members sat side by side and right across them is Vaughn and his lackeys with Vaughn at the center of course.

"Now that we are here, shall we start?" Vaughn formally asked.

"No problem, let us begin sir," Blu replied.

"Alright, first question. Do you have any relation or connection to the Habsber Family? You should reply in order starting from Big dude, next shy girl, then formal guy, then mad lady. Ah, right don't forget to take notes, Yan!"

"I got it, sir!"

"You can now answer the question, Big Guy."

"Ok. My only connection with the Habsber family is being a part of the Reid Squad. I met Reid after I joined the military. No prior interaction." Grim replied.

"Uhm..... I am also similar to Grim..... I just met Sir Reid here...." Chae shyly said.

"To be completely transparent. I am good friends with Sir Reid since we have started going to the same school together. We continued our relationship until we joined the military. I have no other relationship other than that." Blu truthfully answered.

"I have been childhood friends with Reid since I was also part of a noble family although it was not as powerful as the Habsber. I know the parents and Reid's sister. You can be suspicious of me all you want but let me tell you after I was informed about the Habsber Incident my family quickly shut down any connection with that family. I also did the same. As of now, there is no one in this team who is currently involved with that scandalous family." Yela carefully declared.

"Alright! Interesting answers everyone. Now because I don't want this simple interview to take long I will give you one last question. When was the last time you met your former captain Reid Habsber?"

The four were silent.

"Why are you not answering? You are getting interrogated here! You better reply or you will be added to our suspicious list!" Kell threatened.

"That is enough Kell. Let them take their time. So any answers?"

Grim started.

"It has been over a month since I met the captain. After our training, he suddenly disappeared. I then later found out that his family was in trouble and he was found escaping and then dead."

"Uhmmm.... Ca-Captain Reid... I saw him after hunting.... I think..... Then he was dead..." Chae nervously replied.

Vaughn smirked.

"Proceed!"

"Just like what my squadmates said. It was after training and hunting."

And finally Yela.

"I was not a part of that training with them because I was back at home so the last time I saw him was during a family visit 2 weeks prior to the incident. Then he was reported that he... died."

"Alright Alright. No need to be gloomy! We will be leaving now. Thanks for your cooperation. I will notify you if there is an issue but as of now you are clear."

"Your welcome Sir Vaughn. We will cooperate as much as we could until we solve this mystery."

"Goodbye weird squad!"

Vaughn and his boys left the house. While walking Ricko suddenly complained.

"Are you seriously letting them off the hook boss? They really are very suspicious!"

The other two supported him.

"That is right boss!"

"We need to interrogate them even more!"

"HAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!! You guys need to chill out!"

"B-boss???"

"I am not letting them go. In fact, I was even more suspicious of them. We just need to keep a distance until we find their secret. They for sure have something special. Don't worry!"

Back to the headquarters.

"Are they gone now Grim?" Blu asked.

"Yeah. They are now away!"

"That was really nerve-wracking! I was really trying not to be obvious but Chae!!! Why were you stuttering earlier?!" Yela furiously asked.

"I am sorry.... I was really nervous and shy at the same time..."

"Stop that Yela. Chae tried her best today. Now that we are alone here we better discuss our future plan." Blu intervened.

"Right we better plan out how are we going to get information from the capital!"

"Wait aren't you guys wandering how the hell did Reid survive?!?!"

"Not really. I am just glad that he is alive. Which is why we should help him recover his identity and status in this Kingdom!"
