Ashton's POV

A pang of rejection stabbed my heart as she ran past me, I turned around and saw her hugging a man muttering "I missed you.. I love you!" I clenched my hand in a fist tightly and growled.

Understanding, Xander held my fist stopping me from going towards Natalie hugging that man, 'She Was MINE and she will remain MINE!!' I growled in my thoughts letting all my rage out.

After a while Natalie got in her parents car and man walked inside the hospital past me, I followed behind him and tapped his shoulder "Yes? May I help you?" He asked after turning around to face me.

"Yes actually.. if only you could answer one question of mine" I said gritting my teeth "Sure sir, but how can I be a help of you? I don't even know you!" He chuckled.

"You ask too many questions don't you?!" I clenched my fist yet again in anger "Woah! Calm down man! What is your question?" He asked getting straight to the point.

"What's your relationship with Natalie?" I moved closer to him "Uhh, that is personal sir.." he didn't answer "I'm her pack's beta! I have a right to know!" 'and also her mate' Alec added in my thoughts.

"Okay, well I'm her elder brother 2 years older than her" he answered, I was shocked.. I didn't know Natalie had a brother. I released my fist and sighed in relief "Don't worry.. she all yours!" He winked and walked past me exiting the room.

A smile formed at the edge of my lips and I quickly replaced it with a serious face 'No! I don't like her.. I never will!' I shaked my head leaving the room.

After arriving at the pack house I strode to my room and locked the door shut loudly, "What's happening to me!? Why did I suddenly care for her! I despise her! I always had, and I will remain doing so!" I ran my hands in my already messed up hair.

I decided to do some beta work that is training the weak pack members, I descended the stairs and exited the back door seeing the already crowded field handled by Cameron.

I walked towards them and greeted, they all greeted back with respect except for Cameron who of course is my best friend and I forbid him from doing that he only replied informally with "Sup man!"

"All's not so fine so how is everything going?" I asked looking at the crowd who just continued what they were doing before I arrived.

"Fine I guess, but there are people who still need more training like the newly turned wolves" he answered placing his hands on his hips "Okay, bring them over there.. I'll be training them for today." I ordered and he nodded.

He left and I saw him meet his mate halfway while walking towards a group of teenagers, I eyed them closely and how they kissed as if life was perfect for them, I really envy them.

"Cameron really is a lucky man!" Robert said still panting from his run startling me "What the fuck man! Shouldn't you be dealing with the boys at the arena?!" I yell at him "Sorry Ash, I couldn't help myself" he gestured towards the naked women who were dressing behind a tree.

I shaked my head in disbelief as I turned my gaze back to him "Go to work! This is your final warning!" I pointed at him, he sighed and walked away from me.

I walked towards an empty space and the teenagers followed once Cameron informed them, I started distributing one stop watch for each individual and instructed to set the timer at 20 minutes for starters.

After doing what I said I blew my whistle and they began their 150 metre run as I observed closely for the next activity.

Amanda's POV

I was called to Xander's office at lunch so I went there immediately without hesitating one bit, as I knocked on the door a yell from inside could be barely heard saying "come in!"

I turned the door knob and stepped in closing the door behind me, I walked towards his desk catching his attention from the file he was reading.

"Sit down!" He gestured the seat beside me, I obediently followed and he closed the file setting it away. "Look Amanda.. I know I'm telling you this late but don't bring any conclusions in your head about

Natalie and I because we were never together" he stated.

I look at him straight in the eyes "I would never have feelings for her, the only person I truly care about is my pack members and you!" He continued.

"But she did love you.." I gained his attention "Even though it was one-sided she still loved you" my voice broke as tears welled up in my eyes.

"Amanda.." I could hear his concern ''I know.. but what could I do? I couldn't betray her trust in me.. I was very wrong!" He stood up and walked towards me.

"She thinks I'm the reason you didn't like her, you should reject me!" I wiped my now falling tears. "Shut up! One single word and you'll see my worst Amanda! It's none of your fault it's just Natalie's hopes that flew very high" he stood up in anger.

I looked at my lap "Now that's not the point! I called you here to Inform that I fixed our engagement next weekend, and our wedding after 3 weeks.. but you even changed my mood" he groaned.

I looked at him with guilt "Xand-" "Save it! I'm going out for a while!" He cut me off and exited the study leaving me behind 'Seriously Amanda!' I scolded myself smacking my forehead physically making me rub it in pain.
