Friends?

It had been a few weeks since the post so it had died down quite a lot. It was a windy day, so as I strolled down the hallway wind was blowing through my hair. I was having a usual day nothing special. I was called to the office again. "We tried looking through the user but we couldn't find anything, however, let's not lose hope yet we still have a few more methods to try," They said. Suddenly I snapped back to reality as I bumped into someone. "Of course, it had to be Jackson," I thought. "Um Mina can we talk for a sec?" he said in a voice I had been waiting to hear for a while. "Sure". I walked with him to a less crowded area. "I know there's a lot going on right now. I am confused and lost in my thoughts too but we need to find out who wrote that. Also...I know that I have asked this before but can we please just be friends again? I miss hanging out with you and with everyone else." I paused trying to process everything he said. "I'm scared of loving you again" but instead of that, all I blurted out was "I'm sorry Jackson but like I said the words you said to me...hurt. He looked at me with a disappointed face and simply said "Ok" and walked away. At that moment I didn't know what I was doing and I didn't know if I was going to regret it but my heart took over and I said "Wait!" He stopped and slowly turned around to face me. "Let's do it. Let's try being friends." As I was cursing myself silently and asking myself what the hell I was doing I kept speaking. "It will be hard to forget our.....colorful past but I'll try putting it aside and being normal friends again," I said with a slight smile. "Um ok great I'll see you tomorrow," he said and left with a confused but relieved look. "Ok, Mina you just did that wow. Now let's be friends with him because its all in the past right?" I questioned myself as I saw him fading away......
