The Egg

Chapter 1

Thomas had lived his entire life in a small village on the outskirts of a magical kingdom. He was a simple farm boy who spent his days working on his family's farm and dreaming of the adventures that lay beyond his village. One day, while tending to his crops, Thomas stumbled upon a strange portal. As he approached it, a small object fell through it and landed in his hands. It was a dragon egg!

Thomas had never seen a dragon before, let alone hatched one. He was amazed by the egg's intricate design and its iridescent colors. He knew that this was no ordinary egg and that it held a great power within it. Thomas was unsure of what to do with the egg, but he knew that he had to protect it from harm.

As he was pondering on what to do next, a mysterious voice spoke to him from the other side of the portal. "That is a dragon egg," the voice said. "It has chosen you to be its guardian. Protect it with your life."

Thomas was stunned. He didn't know who the voice belonged to, but he knew that he had to follow its advice. He tucked the egg safely inside his shirt and ran back to his family's farm.
