In the Han Dynasty, the number of Lu Shi was used as a symbol of official position. During the Cao Wei period, officials were divided into nine grades. In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the nine grades were divided into Zhengcong, and from the fourth grade, each grade was divided into two grades, up and down, totaling 30 grades. In the Qing Dynasty, it was simplified, and the nine grades were only divided into positive and negative grades, totaling 18 grades.
