The Foster Daughter’s Attraction

The Foster Daughter’s Attraction

"Hai Tang? She's just the Hai family's foster daughter. I was only playing around with her. How could I possibly take her seriously? She can't even measure up to my status!" Upon hearing these words from Yu Heng's own mouth, Hai Tang finally realized how he truly saw her. She had liked this person for over twenty years. They had grown up together since childhood, with her always looking out for him, from running errands and doing homework for him to handling company affairs on his behalf. He had always accepted her kindness but pretended to be unaware of her feelings. Now, the words from his lips directly crushed Hai Tang's hopes. From that day on, Yu Heng's shadow completely disappeared. Even his friends around him were surprised. How could she let go so easily after following him for so long? At first, Yu Heng was nonchalant. In his eyes, Hai Tang's world revolved around him, and she wouldn't be able to survive without him. But as time went on and he waited, she never came back. When he started to panic and wanted to look for her, he realized that he couldn't find her, no matter how hard he looked. When they met again, his shadow was already entwined with someone else, and she had a radiant smile on her face. Yu Heng's reddened eyes were filled with tears as he asked the girl who used to belong to him, "Tangtang, I was wrong. Can we go back to the way things were?" Before the girl could speak, the man beside her stepped forward. His eyes filled with malice as he said, "I advise you to stay away from my wife."

The Gospel of John

The Gospel of John

The Gospel according to John is quite different in character from the three synoptic gospels. It is highly literary and symbolic. It does not follow the same order or reproduce the same stories as the synoptic gospels. To a much greater degree, it is the product of a developed theological reflection and grows out of a different circle and tradition. It was probably written in the 90s of the first century. The Gospel of John begins with a magnificent prologue, which states many of the major themes and motifs of the gospel, much as an overture does for a musical work. The prologue proclaims Jesus as the preexistent and incarnate Word of God who has revealed the Father to us. The rest of the first chapter forms the introduction to the gospel proper and consists of the Baptist’s testimony about Jesus (there is no baptism of Jesus in this gospel—John simply points him out as the Lamb of God), followed by stories of the call of the first disciples, in which various titles predicated of Jesus in the early church are presented. The gospel narrative contains a series of “signs”—the gospel’s word for the wondrous deeds of Jesus. The author is primarily interested in the significance of these deeds, and so interprets them for the reader by various reflections, narratives, and discourses. The first sign is the transformation of water into wine at Cana (Jn 2:1–11); this represents the replacement of the Jewish ceremonial washings and symbolizes the entire creative and transforming work of Jesus. The second sign, the cure of the royal official’s son (Jn 4:46–54) simply by the word of Jesus at a distance, signifies the power of Jesus’ life-giving word. The same theme is further developed by other signs, probably for a total of seven. The third sign, the cure of the paralytic at the pool with five porticoes in chap. 5, continues the theme of water offering newness of life. In the preceding chapter, to the woman at the well in Samaria Jesus had offered living water springing up to eternal life, a symbol of the revelation that Jesus brings; here Jesus’ life-giving word replaces the water of the pool that failed to bring life. Jn 6 contains two signs, the multiplication of loaves and the walking on the waters of the Sea of Galilee. These signs are connected much as the manna and the crossing of the Red Sea are in the Passover narrative and symbolize a new exodus. The multiplication of the loaves is interpreted for the reader by the discourse that follows, where the bread of life is used first as a figure for the revelation of God in Jesus and then for the Eucharist. After a series of dialogues reflecting Jesus’ debates with the Jewish authorities at the Feast of Tabernacles in Jn 7; 8, the sixth sign is presented in Jn 9, the sign of the young man born blind. This is a narrative illustration of the theme of conflict in the preceding two chapters; it proclaims the triumph of light over darkness, as Jesus is presented as the Light of the world. This is interpreted by a narrative of controversy between the Pharisees and the young man who had been given his sight by Jesus, ending with a discussion of spiritual blindness and spelling out the symbolic meaning of the cure. And finally, the seventh sign, the raising of Lazarus in chap. 11, is the climax of signs. Lazarus is presented as a token of the real life that Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life, who will now ironically be put to death because of his gift of life to Lazarus, will give to all who believe in him once he has been raised from the dead.

The foster mother was abandoned by the foster daughter.
Here are some novels that involve adoptive mothers being abandoned by their adopted daughters: - In a novel, the main character was the fake daughter's mother and the real daughter's adoptive mother. The real daughter was chased out by the wealthy family as a jinx. The fake daughter despised the protagonist's poor family and wanted to stay in the wealthy family. However, after the adopted daughter came back, the protagonist was often accompanied by good luck, while the wealthy were unlucky. Later on, the wealthy family wanted to take the real daughter back. After the fake daughter was chased out, she cried and begged the protagonist to take her in. The protagonist no longer accepted her. The real daughter initially refused to acknowledge the protagonist's biological mother because the protagonist's family was poor. There was a sense of abandoning the adoptive mother (here, the biological mother played the role of the adoptive mother). - There was also a story about an auntie who came from Dali in Northeast China to take care of her daughter's child and the family, but was chased out by her daughter (adopted daughter). Because the child was not well taken care of, the adopted daughter and son-in-law quarreled and the adopted daughter chased her away. The auntie had done a lot for the adopted daughter, selling her old house and buying her a car. - There was a novel that described thirteen years after being abducted, the biological parents loved their adopted daughter more, and the male protagonist abandoned the female protagonist (biological daughter). In this story, the mother of the female protagonist was very fond of her adopted daughter, Lin Ningyu, but was very cold and even disgusted with her biological daughter. In the situation where her adopted daughter bullied her biological daughter, the mother still protected her adopted daughter, which also reflected the feeling of her biological daughter being abandoned. In addition, there were novels about adopted daughters abandoning their adoptive parents written by author Xi Wenjin, and Xing Tian novels provided relevant reading content. Read more exciting novels for free
