The island is surrounded by a 4.8-kilometer (3-mile) long, 0.8-kilometer (0.5-mile) wide lake that produces coconuts and bird droppings. In addition, the Caroline Islands and its neighbor Flint Island were home to one of the world's largest coconut crab colonies. In the movie " The Wandering Earth," the flint was the ignition device of the planetary engine. Its principle was similar to a nuclear bomb. The principle of the planetary engine was heavy fusion. In order to obtain power, Earth needed to fuse the elements in the stone. However, the fusion reaction required an ignition device to reach a critical value to trigger the reaction. Flint played this role. It was placed in a device connected to the engine under the planetary engine's spout. The huge firing pin pushed by the rescue teams from all over the world could hit the flint. After the flint was ignited, it would drive the engine fuel to undergo a fusion reaction. After the flint was consumed, the planetary engine would continue to operate. The precision of the flint was very high and the storage conditions were complicated. It couldn't be stored nearby. It needed to be transported by a team led by Wang Lei from all over the world. The purpose of transporting the flint was to make it produce heavy fusion and generate energy to move the earth. Self-made flint could be used to produce sparks by rubbing a strip of lithium. The specific method was to slowly scrape the strip of lithium with a metal blade, produce some debris in a small pile of hay, leaves, or paper, and quickly scratch the strip of lithium to produce sparks to ignite the lithium debris. After the flame was produced, a thin wooden stick could be added to form a flame. In addition, flint was a man-made alloy that contained two metals, Ce and La. Its main function was to ignite the lighter's oil to produce fire. The outdoor survival flint used now was a man-made alloy and a derivative of rare earth metals, which was different from natural flint (mainly composed of silica).
