The Sincerity Of An Almira's Heart
Today was Almira and Galang's wedding day. All the guests had gathered in the room that would be used for the wedding ceremony.
"Where's the groom? The ceremony must begin soon?" the registrar asked Almira.
Almira froze. The problem was, she had been sitting there alone for almost half an hour, but Galang was nowhere to be seen.
Almira turned to her left. She looked at the woman who would become her mother-in-law, who was sitting not far from her. Zora, Galang's mother, smiled bitterly and nodded. She asked Almira to wait a moment.
Then Zora got up and tried to call Galang. But Galang's number was unreachable.
"What's wrong, Mom? Where's Galang?" asked Bastian, Galang's father.
Instead of answering, Zora stared at Bastian with teary eyes.
"What's wrong, Mom? Why are you crying?" Bastian asked, confused.
Zora handed Bastian her phone and showed him the message Galang had sent her.
"Sorry, Mom. Galang can't come. Galang has already decided. He's ready to marry Almira. Galang has to go. Don't wait for Galang, Mom."
Bastian's eyes widened as he read the incoming message from his second son.
"Galang won't come?" Bastian muttered.
"What?" Almira asked, shocked.
Almira covered her mouth in shock as she heard her future in-laws' conversation in the corner.
"Almira..." Zora said.
"What should we do? We'll be embarrassed if Galang doesn't marry Almira. All the guests will laugh at the destruction of our family. Where will I put my face in front of my colleagues, Mom?" Bastian panicked even more.
Almira sat down on the chair, tears streaming down her face.
"I will judge Almira, Mom. I will save our family's pride today. This event will go on without Galang," Aksa replied, breaking the silence.
"Can Almira accept this marriage?" Married to a man who should be her brother-in-law?
