---Luxuria's Penthouse, Greenbank, Virginia---

After Martina Martinez and Benjamin Walker's breakup, paparazzi captured photos of the business tycoon entering the Walker family mansion with a mysterious woman late at night. This caused a stir, and this wealthy family was bombarded by various media outlets. During a phone interview, the gossip reporter asked, "Miss Martinez, how do you feel now that Mr. Walker has a new girlfriend?" Martina held her painful forehead and looked towards Benjamin, who was adjusting his suit by the floor-to-ceiling window. He gestured for her to come over and help him with his tie. Holding her phone, Martina responded, "It's... complicated!" The reporter's heart leaped with joy and asked, "Is it heartbroken?!" Martina was about to nod, but Benjamin raised his eyebrows and took her phone away. His deep and alluring voice was heard on the other end of the line, "New girlfriend? Whose?"

Cyrus Calder was never supposed to escape. As a male Frostborn, he is rarer than rare, valuable enough to be protected, studied, hunted, and locked away by people who call their obsession love. After years inside a cage built from concern, duty, and bloodline secrets, Cyrus finally runs. Now he lives in Grayhaven, a quiet coastal city where the sea feels close enough to promise freedom. By day, he hides behind messy hair and a forgettable academy uniform, just another tired final-year student sleeping through math class. By night, he works at The Full Moon Lounge, earning tips, saving every dollar, and tasting all the ordinary pleasures he was once denied. Cheap food. A small apartment. A paycheck. A walk by the water. To Cyrus, that is paradise. But freedom is fragile when too many women know what he is. His composed classmate begins watching him like a mystery she intends to solve. His elegant coworker treats kindness like something that can become ownership. His teacher-landlord’s concern reaches too close to his door. A police detective says she only wants to protect him, yet somehow always knows where he has been. And somewhere behind all of them waits the woman who put a ring on his finger, a ring he cannot remove. Cyrus has one reliable defense. “I lost my memory.” It is a clean lie. A useful lie. A lie that keeps questions away. Until the wrong word makes him flinch. Until the women realize his cold, harmless act is full of cracks. Until the runaway Frostborn learns that escaping the cage was only the beginning. Because the women who found him do not want revenge. They want him back. And this time, they plan to make sure he never runs again.
