iris confession

Here are some tips for iris photography: ** 1. Picture composition ** 1. ** Ternary composition ** - This was a more practical composition method that was suitable for people of all levels of photography. When shooting irises, you can directly place the subject (one or more irises) at the dividing line of the photo, while ensuring that the picture is clean and tidy. 2. ** Center composition ** - The subject was placed in the middle of the picture, but this composition might make the picture look dull and lack creativity. 3. ** Symsymmetrical composition ** - A rigorous symmetrical composition was to make the elements of the picture completely symmetrical. For example, when the iris flower was well developed and the petals were complete, the photographer would stand in front of the flower and shoot. There was also a more flexible "upgraded" version that was suitable for photographers with some shooting experience. For example, if half of the picture had relevant elements and the other half did not, it would also be a symmetrical composition. 4. ** Diagonal composition ** - The flower shape of the iris flower was an "3 big + 3 small" equinoceros triangle. Most varieties had longer petals, so it was suitable to stand on one side of the flower and use a small depth of field to focus on a large petal for diagonal composition shooting. ** 2. Color and lighting ** 1. ** Color contrast (for Iris)** - The white iris flowers were white and the leaves were dark green. The white flowers could be used as light spots to deepen the color of the leaves, enhance the contrast between the two, and improve the visual impact of the picture. 2. ** Light-dark contrast (creating a dark background)** - When shooting the white iris, you can only shoot the flowers and change the background to a dark background. For example, using light measuring points to create a contrast between light and dark, using a flash to increase the contrast, or directly using a black background cloth to take photos behind the flowers. 3. ** Backlight Shooting ** - Iris flowers could be shot under backlighting conditions to produce a unique effect. The light came from the back of the subject, which could highlight the outline and texture of the flower, making the edges clearer and the petal texture more obvious. It could enhance the color saturation and transparent luster, making the petal color more vivid and full, and enhancing the brightness and luster. It could also create a soft backlighting effect, making the flower appear hazy and dreamy, making the overall look more beautiful and enchanting. 4. ** Black background ** - In the case of a large light ratio, the method of "spot measurement + reduced exposure compensation" was used. The focus was placed on the iris flower, and the exposure was lowered to make the background darker. The black background could highlight the main body and make the audience focus on the flowers, better showing the details, shape, color and texture of the flowers. It could create a mysterious, dreamy or quiet atmosphere, making the picture brighter and highlight the color and shape of the flowers. It could also reflect the light and shadow on the surface of the flowers and increase the texture of the flowers. Through the light transmission of the petals on the black background, it formed a contrast between light and dark, making the texture of the petals more obvious, bringing out the bright colors of the petals and making the picture more vivid. ** 3. Depth of Field ** 1. ** Shallow depth of field reflects the softness of petals and stamens ** - If you want to shoot with a shallow depth of field effect, you can use a telephoto lens with the same aperture value, or use a large aperture with the same focal length, or you can use a macro lens. ** 4. Dealing with the shooting environment ** 1. ** Dealing with overgrown environments (for outdoor shooting)** - If the irises were taken from a bird's eye view, it might have the same effect as taking a sugar triangle in a pile of leeks. If you were to shoot at a head-up angle, you had to consider avoiding the surrounding weeds. You could find a suitable angle, such as using a telephoto lens, but the angle of the shot might not change too much, or you could choose to shoot around the cultivation pot in the flower, bird, fish and insect market. Read more exciting novels for free
