Wow, the Forsaken
In World of Warcraft, the Forsaken were one of the races of Azeroth. After they escaped the Lich King's rule, they sought to maintain their freedom and destroy the forces that opposed them. They only served their leader, Savinas the Whisperer (Queen of Banshees).
The Forsaken gathered in a maze-like underground city in the cursed Tirisfal Forest. Their common enemy was the Lich King, who knew both the human and orc languages and could breathe freely underwater.
The Forsaken also had racial specialties, such as the Forsaken Will.(Active, Instant Cast, 2-minute Cooldown, Able to Remove Charm, Fear, and Hypnosis Effects),"Corpse Eater"(Active, effective range of 5 yards, instant cast, 2 minute cooldown time, can be used on humanoid creatures or undead corpses within a 5 yard radius. After activation, recovers 7% of total HP every 2 seconds, lasts for 10 seconds, but movement, action, or damage will interrupt the effect), Underwater Breathing [Passive: Increases the amount of time one can breathe underwater by 233%],[Shadow Resistance](Passive: Reduces the chance of being hit by shadow spells by 2%),[Touch of Sorrow](Passive: Attacks and damage spells have a certain chance of draining the target's HP, causing 2100 Shadow Damage (Level 100) and recovering the same amount of HP), etc.
The starting area was Deathknell Town in Tirisfal, the main city was Undercity, the race mount was Skeletal Warhorse, and the available classes were Mage, Priest, Lurker, Warlock, Warrior, Death Knight, Hunter, and Monk.

forsaken gods
In different cultures and stories, there are cases of abandoned gods.
In the rural family belief space in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, there was a phenomenon of family idols being abandoned. With the popularity of family idol worship, many family idols were abandoned and placed in the community altar and village temple. Believers chose to "invite gods" into their homes for worship based on their own "natural" experience, and gods became "long-term guests" in the family. However, when the statues were not harmonious with the external environment or the daily worship order of the family was disordered, the believers would "send gods" out of the house on the grounds that they felt "unnatural". Moreover, in the traditional view, the gods were easily angered and sensitive. Abandoning the gods could lead to disaster. Therefore, when people abandoned the gods, they usually held a " sending the gods off " ceremony. This ceremony was relatively hidden and was often carried out in the middle of the night to avoid the gods 'blame and punishment and bad public opinion. For example, in Xiagang Village and the neighboring Shangsha Village, there were family statues abandoned in the village community altar, beside the village temple, under the big banyan tree at the entrance of the village, etc. There were also small statues abandoned by families in Tianhou Palace, Beidi Temple, and Tudi Temple.
In Greek mythology, the God of Fire, Hephaestus, had a rough life. Although he was one of the twelve gods of Olympus, he was abandoned when he was born, and his wife had no good feelings for him.
In some web novels, there were similar scenes of gods being abandoned. For example, after Xie Lian was demoted, his country was destroyed, and his good friend betrayed him, he was entangled by Bai Wuxiang. He was mentally and physically exhausted. The Crown Prince Palace where he had once placed the Crown Prince Golden Body was abandoned, and he, as a god, was no longer worshipped. He went from glory to desolation.

Are the Forsaken Undead?
Based on context alone
In some western fantasy settings, the Forsaken belonged to the category of the undead. The Forsaken usually had some typical characteristics of the undead. For example, they were originally dead humans, but they existed in a special immortal form. They had lost some of their human characteristics when they were alive, and they were closely related to death, dark magic, and other elements. However, different games, novels, and other works might have some differences in their specific settings, but overall, they could be regarded as a type of undead.

Priest of the Forsaken
The Forsaken Priests had many situations:
- In the relevant content of the game, there were Elite Branded Forsaken Priests. Their race was Branded Monsters, and their levels were 80 - 82. They were located in places such as the Crystal Desert. They were corrupted by Krakatoa and served him. They participated in many events, such as helping Andisha collect the scales of Valast from the Elite Branded Creatures. They had a variety of combat skills, such as Shield Phases Drains Life and Energy.(Basic long-range attack), Teleportation attack, Essence Absorption, etc. There were also stealing skills such as Blind Hair Crush, Bone Splitting Strike, etc. In battle, there would be actions such as applying a barrier to oneself and nearby allies. The Branded Forsaken Priest was a weaker variant of the Elite Branded Forsaken Priest. It was Level 80 and was located at the Cliff of Aha (Crystal Desert).
- In reality, priests might face many situations, such as making mistakes, having their own faith confusion, having to deal with psychological pressure, having extensive knowledge in addition to theology, having a family and personal life, having unique views on illness and death, having to continue learning, facing financial pressure, donating to charity, and needing self-protection. However, this was only for the general situation of priests, and no special connection was found with the Forsaken.
