The initial salvo of The Banquet Hall (Mansion) Vol. 1is like watching a feel-good and a horror film at the same time with its comedic twists and turns. Our protagonist, Isabella, had a new baby after eighteen years of marriage with Aaron, a business tycoon, and was rumored seen with a man at the Lee’s mansion. The gossip mill rolled until Josh, Isabella’s son, Jan, and Fr. Robert took interest to find out whether the rumor was true. They were surprised with what they discovered in the end. How it came about is a revelation in the next volume of this book.

The first time that Tatin kissed Isabella’s lips, it was like a kiss of eternity for our heroine. They became one heart, one soul that would never be separated. The Banquet Hall (Wolves) Vol. 2, the sequel to The Banquet Hall (Mansion) Vol. 1, saw the doppelgangers loving each other through thick and thin, and when the axe was to fall on her, he sent her through a different timeline albeit love is not a bed of roses. Follow these lovers’ adventure in the next stories.

Jezebel, the spurned lover of Tatin planned vengeance, with the aid of a notorious gunman and another powerful witch. They zoomed from past into Isabella’s current world, pretended to be her twin, mimicking our heroine, Amalia, and Talia, attempting to poison Suzy with a laced apple, and trying to kill Isabella. Tatin, Apollo II and friends time-travelled into the future to protect Isabella and family. Apollo and friends’ wit—Hugh and Andrea’s; the adventures of Josh, Jan, and Fr. Robert; the pets Jackson and Zoraida’s roles all lent soft touches to the perils that the Lee’s went through in this threequel.

My bestie asked me to go to the matchmaking banquet with the Crown Prince of Capital City in her place. Right before I went, I intentionally added something to my face. I wouldn't say I was hideously ugly, but it was enough to make one lose their appetite. The result... I came home and removed my makeup, and my bestie was doubled over in laughter. "Aiyo, he said he wants to have an 'in-depth exchange' with you." Me: ??? I just like wearing women's clothes, I'm not a woman!!!
