The following was an essay about catching cats: Catching the Cat In the quiet corner of the town, there was a mischievous kitten. It was snow-white all over, like a moving snowball. Only the tip of its ears had a little black color, like the ink that God accidentally spilled. This kitten was famous for being clever in the town. Its various "evil deeds" made the residents love and hate it. One day, the kitten got into trouble again. It had snuck into Grandma Li's kitchen and knocked over the plate of fresh dried fish. The dried fish was Grandma Li's food reserve for the winter. This made Grandma Li very anxious. Hence, a cat-catching operation began. Grandma Li gathered her neighbors, and everyone responded. The few of us children were even more excited, as if we were about to embark on a mysterious adventure. We first searched around Grandma Li's yard and saw a small movement behind the pile of junk in the corner, accompanied by a slight meow. Everyone was nervous and excited at the same time. They slowly approached the pile of junk. I quietly poked my head out to take a look. The kitten was hiding behind an old wooden barrel. Its eyes were wide open as it looked around vigilantly. It seemed to know that it had made a mistake, and its body trembled slightly. Just as we were about to surround it and catch it, this clever little guy swooshed out from our feet like a white bolt of lightning. We chased the kitten to the square of the town. It went into the flower bed and made the blooming flowers sway. It jumped on the bench and startled the old man who was resting. We were in hot pursuit, panting. The kitten seemed to be getting more and more excited as it ran. From time to time, it would look back at us. Its eyes seemed to be provoking us. Just as everyone was feeling a little discouraged, Uncle Zhang came up with a good idea. He ran home to get a small dried fish and put it in a small cage. Then, he tied a string to the cage and hid behind a tree not far away. The kitten smelled the fragrance of dried fish and slowly approached the cage. It carefully circled the cage a few times, staring at the dried fish. In the end, it could not resist the temptation and walked into the cage. Uncle Zhang seized the opportunity and pulled the rope, closing the door of the cage. The kitten was trapped in the cage and meowed. It sounded a little aggrieved. We gathered around and looked at this cute and naughty kitten. We were angry and amused. Grandma Li also rushed over. She looked at the kitten and shook her head helplessly. However, she still couldn't help but reach out and touch its head." You're so naughty." In the end, Grandma Li did not blame the kitten. She just brought it home, fed it some food, and found a warm nest for it. The kitten seemed to know that it was wrong and became docile. It rubbed against Grandma Li's feet as if to express its gratitude. From then on, the kitten never did anything naughty again. It became a small star in the town and everyone liked it.
