save me a dance

No, it isn't. Save the Last Dance is a fictional story created for entertainment purposes.

One idea could be to explore what would happen if the main characters met in a different setting before the events of the movie. For example, if they were in the same dance class as kids but didn't really notice each other until years later. Another idea is to create a story where they face a new obstacle in their relationship, like one of them getting an opportunity to dance professionally overseas and they have to decide if their love can survive the distance. Or perhaps a fanfiction where they teach dance together to underprivileged kids and how that experience strengthens their bond.

Well, it could be about Ben using his alien forms to protect a dance event from some villains who want to disrupt it. Maybe the villains are after a special artifact at the dance venue, and Ben has to transform into different aliens to fight them off while also making sure the dancers are safe.

First, rewatch the movie to really get a feel for the characters' personalities, their relationships, and the overall mood. Then, pick a starting point. It could be right after the movie ended and you continue their story, or you could go back to a moment in the movie and change what happened. For example, if there was a fight between the characters, you could start your fanfiction by having them resolve it in a different way. Next, think about the theme of your fanfiction. Is it going to be about their love for dance, their relationship, or something else? Once you have these things in mind, just start writing and let the story flow.

It could be Vilgax. He might see the 'Save the Last Dance' event as a way to draw Ben out into the open. He could plan to disrupt the event and capture Ben while he's distracted trying to protect everyone. Vilgax is always looking for ways to get the Omnitrix, and this could be his new strategy.
