Roger held the secret of the ultimate weapon that could destroy the world, and he refused to become Shiki's subordinate. The two sides fought the famous Ed Warhai War. Roger, who was originally at a disadvantage, was saved by the sudden wave, and the two sides fought to a draw. In this naval battle, Roger's pirate crew members, such as the trainee Red-haired Shanks, Baki who had no scars on his eyes at the time (he was already a demon fruit ability user), the ship doctor Kulokas, and others appeared. Among them were the crew members suspected to be Roger's left hand (wearing blue clothes, who had been with Roger for a long time and tried to persuade him), as well as the more prestigious crew members such as Riley. There were also two mermaid beauties on Roger's ship.
