In 1898, in an ancient tomb in Egypt more than 4000 years ago, a model that was very similar to a modern plane was discovered. It was made of figwood and weighed about 30 grams. It was originally called the "wooden bird" model. It looked like a bird, but it had a drooping tail that birds did not have. There were also traces of the flat tail falling off. If the flat tail was added, it would look like a small glider, which was very in line with the principles of flutter. The model's body was 5.6 inches long, its wings were flat and spanned 7.2 inches, and the tip of its mouth was 1.3 inches long. The tail was vertical, and there was a device similar to a modern aircraft's tail regulator on the tail. The shape of the tail was in line with the principles of flutter, allowing the body to have a huge lift, and the proportion of each component had been accurately calculated. Later on, 14 such aircraft models were found. In addition, similar aircraft models were also found in South America. For example, the golden body model excavated underground in Colombia was very similar to the American B - 52 bomber, and experts drew relevant drawings after wind tunnel tests. Other countries in South America also found it. There were many opinions on the existence of these 4000-year-old aircraft models. Some people thought that this indicated that prehistoric humans might have mastered technology similar to modern aircraft; some people thought that it might be a product of the imagination of the ancients, which happened to be similar to the shape of modern aircraft; some people speculated whether it was related to aliens, but there was no conclusive evidence that humans 4000 years ago really built aircraft. In the archeological community, there was also a view that it might be an ornament, jewelry, or toy designed based on birds. The novel "Hundred Years of Spaceship" is equally exciting.
