And psychological education in family education has an important significance and many ways of application.
In terms of family mental health education, it could be divided into four parts. The first part was an overview of family mental health education, which would help parents understand its significance and the standards of children's development and mental health. The second part was about interpersonal psychology, learning psychology, self-psychology, and life psychology. The third part introduced the methods of family mental health education, such as example demonstration method, hot point guidance method, practical training method, environmental moisture method, etc. The last part was about the family mental health education.
From a parent's perspective, in order to cultivate a mentally healthy child, parents needed to do the following: First, carry out imperceptible and infectious education, rather than theoretical dogmatic education. Secondly, the parents themselves had to have the correct three views, be calm in their hearts, and be emotionally stable to set an example for their children. Furthermore, parents should have predictable behavior and be organized so that their children could grow up in a stable environment. At the same time, parents should have the ability to listen and express their feelings, and establish an equal parent-child relationship with their children. In addition, it was necessary to provide a relaxed and normal environment for children to grow up, and to create a family atmosphere of mutual understanding, tolerance, love, and being loved. In particular, it was necessary to pay attention to the equal respect of the relationship between husband and wife. Parents also needed to learn to accept their children, themselves, and everything else, not to vent their anger on others, to uphold the principle of dealing with things and not with people, and to have a lifelong growth mindset and lifelong learning preparation.
For example, when a child shows some psychological performance, such as talking back is eager for recognition, pleasing is lack of recognition, indifference is lack of security, homework procrastination is stressful, lying is afraid of being punished, blaming parents is aggrieved, etc. Parents should give targeted positive responses, such as more praise, affirmation, companionship, no more shouting and scolding, etc. Through improving cognition, they can understand the child from the psychological perspective and nourish the child, instead of simply shouting and scolding. At the same time, family education and psychological services were carried out in some areas to improve children's psychological quality through lectures and group activities. Children and caring mothers were allowed to learn relevant legal knowledge together to improve their awareness of the rule of law and quality.
