Advice for WN Authors

Advice for WN Authors

Aight bois. This is coming from an author and a reader: most of y'all's writing sucks. Readers shouldn't have to turn their brains off to enjoy your writing... That's just forcing them to be a zombie and mindlessly passing time by, ain't no enjoyment there. So in case you couldn't tell already, this will be very blunt. Thus, here's some things to keep in mind as you read. 1. If you're just going to hear and not listen, skedaddle. Hearing is having it go through one ear and out the other, listening is paying attention and making the effort to understand. 2. Toss your pride away. Yeet it across the ocean. I've seen sooo many authors unable to take constructive criticism and INSIST on improper grammar because they couldn't admit they did something wrong. 3. If you think your writing is good, then it's terrible. Simple. Reason: If you think your writing is good, then you stop looking for ways to improve it and it stagnates. Even the best of the best authors (on wn and traditional books) have room for improvement so don't be like "ah it's good enough" or "there's no where else to improve." 4. Don't listen aggressively. I.e. listening only to find faults in what the person says and use it disprove their claim. One example is waiting for your opponent to make a grammar mistake. This is different from debate tactics to lead your opponent into logical trap and use their fallacies they accidentally left behind to invalidate everything they said. It's hard to notice, but the main difference is that someone who listens aggressively is no longer open minded or calm. They're usually narrow minded and stubborn to admit they're wrong in those moments and are very easy to manipulate bc they're blinded so ye. Did I leave some traps within the logic presented here? Maybe. Don't be an idiot and you won't have to find out. Side note: apologies if this boi comes off as ranting, bc it is. The average wn quality is on par with mtl childrens books, which is infuriating bc now there's hardly anything good left to read.

The Villainess Now Has the Whole Galaxy on Their Knees

The Villainess Now Has the Whole Galaxy on Their Knees

Sophie Wexler transmigrated into a novel about The Galaxy, becoming the vicious, F-rank Healer-class cannon fodder. The original owner constantly caused trouble and made things difficult for the female lead, earning her the hatred of the entire internet. Upon transmigrating and seeing that everything had been ruined by the original owner, Sophie's only thought was: "What kind of nightmare start is this?!" To escape the original owner's fate, Sophie Wexler worked diligently, conducted herself conscientiously, stayed away from the male and female leads, compensated the soldiers harmed by the original owner, and strove to be a model citizen of The Galaxy, absolutely refusing to be the cannon fodder 'offed' by the Imperial Marshal! Broke and powerless, Sophie also had to support a man who'd been innocently dragged into the original owner's mess. She had no choice but to hustle. She started live streaming, became a masked singer, and held concerts. At first, netizens were scornful: 【Tsk, how good can she possibly sound?】 Later, the netizens were forced to eat their words. 【Damn, that's so good I'm on my knees!】 【What the hell, the violent episode of my Disorder Period has actually been soothed?!】 【The toxins in my Spiritual Sea have actually been eliminated!】 Her live streams went viral, the masked singer became a huge sensation, and tickets for her concerts were snapped up across The Galaxy. Sophie was content, thinking, "This time, I must have finally escaped the original owner's fate, right?" But what do you know, the man I've been doting on and supporting is actually the Imperial Marshal?! --- One day, Yancey Forrest came home to find that the boisterous person who was always claiming to be good to him was gone. His eyes darkened. Provoke me and then think you can leave? After catching her, Yancey traced his fingertips along Sophie's neck, smiling gently. "Why run?" Sophie trembled. "You... you're the Imperial Marshal?" His identity exposed, Yancey Forrest took her hand and slowly placed it on his own neck ring. "You know I won't kill you, don't you?"

Yes, Jane Austen's first novel, 'Sense and Sensibility', was published under the pseudonym 'A Lady'. How did Stephen King use the Richard Bachman pseudonym for his novels?
By using the Bachman name, he could explore darker and edgier themes more freely. For example, in some of the Bachman novels, the violence and psychological horror were more raw. It also allowed him to publish more frequently without saturating the market with 'Stephen King' books all the time. He could reach different audiences who might not pick up a book just because it was by Stephen King.

The rights of authors and authors
The term "copyright" referred to the rights enjoyed by the author of literary, artistic, and scientific works, including personal rights and property rights. The right of signature is one of the personal rights of the author. The right of authorization was the right to indicate the author's identity. It was the right of the author to sign his name on the work (including the novel). To be specific, the copyright owner had the right to indicate his own name and title on the novel he created. If the author was a citizen, he could also indicate his own pen name. The right of signature was an important legal basis to confirm the specific identity of the author of a novel. It not only indicated to the public who the ownership of the novel belonged to, but also promised the public who would bear the civil responsibility caused by the creation. The copyright owner could use his real name, pen name, stage name, pseudonym, alias, or even give up his signature on the novel he created. No matter what method he used to sign, he had the right to refuse the right of any other person who did not participate in the creation to ask for his signature. Read more exciting novels for free
