Kick for Korea
In the bustling city of Busan, South Korea, sixteen-year-old Kang Min-jun lives an ordinary middle-class life. His father works long hours as a delivery driver, while his mother runs a small convenience store. Although his family struggles financially, Min-jun grows up surrounded by love and discipline.
Ever since watching Korean taekwondo athletes win international championships, Min-jun dreams of becoming a famous taekwondo star who can bring pride to his family and represent South Korea on the national stage.
However, talent alone is not enough.
At Hanseong High School, Min-jun enters a fiercely competitive taekwondo club where many students have trained since childhood. Lacking experience, he becomes the target of ridicule and is constantly overshadowed by elite athletes from wealthy families.
Refusing to give up, Min-jun trains relentlessly before dawn and after school. Guided by a strict but caring coach, he gradually transforms from an overlooked beginner into a rising fighter known for his relentless determination and explosive kicking power.
As local tournaments lead to provincial championships and national qualifiers, Min-jun encounters powerful rivals, heartbreaking defeats, and life-changing friendships. Every victory brings him closer to his dream, while every loss teaches him the true meaning of perseverance.
Can a middle-class boy with an impossible dream rise above South Korea’s best young athletes and earn the honor of wearing the national colors?
Or will the pressure of competition crush his ambitions before he reaches the top?
This is the story of a young fighter’s journey from obscurity to national glory.
