The mysterious voice reveals itself to be a powerful deity that is able to control the gaps, and the reason it took his body and brought him here was so that he could help the goddess escape from a seal that was imposed on her centuries ago during a war. The boy and the goddess team up with other inhabitants to free her and help him recover his memories.
