Their tasks include “cleaning up incidents,” “erasing contamination events,” and “handling cases that should not be acknowledged,” all standard duties for a normal detective job. Hellsing simply follows procedures. Very normal procedures. When he investigates, things tend to become… unusual. People forget conversations that just happened. Others hear whispers that were never spoken. Sometimes entire areas become slightly less real than before. But this is unrelated to him. He is simply very good at his job. Despite all this, Hellsing has one goal: To find peace. A completely normal, achievable goal for a completely normal person. Even as something inside him questions whether “peace” is something he was ever meant to have. Still. He is fine. Everything is fine—completely normal. Even if what he is looking for no longer exists in a form he can recognize.
