The National Table Tennis Inter-school Competition was an important table tennis event. On September 22, 2024, the National Traditional Sports School Table Tennis Competition (Junior High School Group and Senior High School Group) ended in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province and Jining, Shandong Province respectively. The junior high school group competition was held in the Binhe Sports Center in Taiyuan City. There were 261 coaches and athletes from 31 teams from 29 schools in 22 provinces across the country participating in the competition. After 86 team and 374 single matches, the junior high school group competition was held. The high school competition was held in Jining High-tech Zone. 29 teams from 22 provinces and cities across the country participated in the competition. These two events reflected the integration of sports and education functions, the integration of amateur training and physical education teaching, and the integration of coaches and physical education teachers. They were important platforms for cultivating reserve talents in table tennis, inheriting sports spirit, and promoting national football culture. In 2023, the National Traditional Sports School Table Tennis Competition was divided into three groups: primary school group, junior high school group and senior high school group, which were held simultaneously in Chongqing, Shanghai and Jiangsu Province. Among them, the junior high school group competition was successfully held in Shanghai Cao Yanhua Table Tennis Training School. 247 team leaders, coaches, and athletes from traditional sports schools in 31 provinces and cities signed up for the competition. After four days, a total of 532 fierce competitions were held. On July 12 - 18, 2017, the National Traditional Sports School Table Tennis Competition was held in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. 346 athletes from 23 provinces participated in the competition.
