Kien's life is in shambles. With no family, friends, and an overall bad reputation, he's the last person anyone would call "chosen". A magical ring would consider him so, pulling him into Ultimation, a bizarre organization trying to stop reality-warping monsters. Sadly, Ultimation must now try to manage Kien. With the world on the verge of collapse, Kien's most important goal is to win over the vice-captain, who he is mostly sure is completely unaware of his existence. With a strategically foolish crew of ultimate-taboo-breakers, a near-certain risk of death, and a borderline unbelievable amount of bad luck, Kien has to fight against demons, dungeons, and other people who await him. And in the middle of all of that, he has to try and figure out what love is.
