After living in the present for a while, they build an hideout that is capable of shielding the presence of humans from the zombies. The zombies are a result of a particular test by Doctor Mark. One of his specimens had escaped the lab and created a chain of walking deads. Knowing the consequence of changing the events of time, Peter and Zamuel along with a few others would travel back in time to prevent the opening of Doctor Mark's "weapon project". While thet y are away, the whole of America is left in shambles by the ravaging beasts. These beasts soon find their way to the hideout. While trying to buy enough time for Hanan to get away with his team, Peter's parents sacrificed their life. Due to the rash movement, the time portal is activated and Peter and his new crew are sent further back in time without completing their mission.
