From Freelancer to Celestial Monarch

What would you do if one day you were told you were one of the chosen who would have to battle to save the world? Akio was an average guy, having moved to the big city from his humble town in the mountains. Sure, his IT freelancing job wasn't making him big money, and he wasn't exactly a hit with the ladies, but life wasn't all that bad... until one day a mysterious angel-like being visited him to tell him the Earth was in danger. Many would be chosen to fight this fate, but would any succeed? Of course, if one could have the usual cheat skills everything would work out, wouldn't it? So why was his skill like a garbage pay-to-win mobile game? Akio would have to not only hone his skills and build his Astral Empire, but he would need to raise money, secure land and become a player on Earth too! Facing this challenging task alone would surely be impossible, so Akio needs to make strong and beautiful allies to take on all those who would oppose him. Who would that be, you ask? The old myths of Earth are returning, alien invaders are waiting outside on the Astral Tides, Cultivators are looking for their next faces to slap, Demons are whispering poison into the ears of anyone who would listen, and whoever was trying to save Earth by granting various people powers were making some really awful choices... Join Akio as he starts at the bottom of the ladder, clawing his way to the top and discovering one can change their destiny, so long as they work hard (and have a boat-load of money!). [This story is a modern world LitRPG where I try and balance the real world, the other world and various character-development scenarios. The pace can be described as 'measured', as there is a lot of 'slice-of-life' style events to balance 'number-go-up' and Territory capture] What can you expect from this story? MC and side characters who are flawed and make mistakes, but ultimately grow and change, bettering themselves and the world around them. Yes, the MC does start off a bit weak and whiny, but he does get over it as the story progresses. It's a slow burn though. Likewise Harem and romance. it is most definitely harem, though again it's a slow burn and not easy to reach. There are some r18 scenes with them, but these don't happen until a fair way into the story. Real-world consequences of power. I'm trying to explore this slowly, so expect politics down the line. Base-building in both the real and the other world, growing power, money, influence and more. it's a slow burn but a focus. Cultivators, Faeries, Demons, Gods and more, though again, it takes a while for more and more of these to appear.

"What's your name?".... William Junior, alias Black. Once a promising nursing student and newbie financial analyst, Black now spends his days in a dimly lit rented apartment staring at his financial software running mundane transactions for a low-tier bank. He's haunted by a past failure that cost his family their savings and his father his pride. His life is a cycle of regret, cheap coffee, and the flow of currency on his screens, that he could never have access too... "Digital money is just figures..." He sighed. Everything changes when his manager, Arthur, a reclusive and brilliant former Forex trader, dies suddenly, after a short meeting with Black at his secret place. Black, named as a fugitive went into hiding, then along the line, he discovered he was made the sole beneficiary of Arthur's estate, but he couldn't access or claim it. Devastated, he receives a sealed envelope containing a key to a safety deposit box and a single, cryptic note. He finds Arthur's life's work: a set of meticulously handwritten trading journals, filled with complex algorithms, psychological observations, and a high-risk, high-reward strategy Arthur called "The Echo System." Tucked in the final journal is a cashier's check for $10,000. Driven by a desperate need for redemption, Black plunges into the volatile, 24-hour world of the foreign exchange market using Arthur's system. As his life changes, so does a hawk hover around him. A sharp-eyed and ruthless portfolio manager at a competing hedge fund, Victoria Frost, notices the anomalous, profitable trades originating from a single, unknown source. My Space Connects to the Apocalyptic World

My Space Connects to the Apocalyptic World

One day, a strange hand suddenly appeared inside Chi Wan’s interdimensional space. Its owner claimed to be living in the apocalypse—starving, desperate—and begged to trade anything he had for food. Chi Wan stared at the pile of Imperial Green jade, oversized diamonds, and dozens of kilograms of gold bars he offered… and fell into deep thought. …Wasn’t this a little too profitable? From then on, her connection to the apocalypse only grew stronger. The mysterious man—who turned out to be a powerful figure—used his Wood Ability to help her revive rare orchids, cultivate endangered plants, and even harvest zombie crystal cores for the country. As for Chi Wan? She only had three responsibilities: feed him, feed him, and keep feeding him. Somehow, without realizing it, a group of extraordinary men began to gather around her: A genius research scientist. An aloof, abstinent CEO. A cold and ruthless Soldier King… In front of Chi Wan, they were gentle, attentive, and impeccably polite—each trying to outshine the others. Behind her back? They were one step away from tearing each other apart. Meanwhile, on the other side of the spatial link… The so-called King of the Apocalypse clenched his teeth in silence as he listened to these men compete for her attention. As for Chi Wan? “I’m busy getting rich and supporting my family,” she said calmly. “A battle royale of suitors? I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Until one day— An absurdly handsome man appeared at the gates of her villa… carrying a sack filled with gold and jewels. “I’m here to marry into your family,” he declared. Chi Wan glanced at him, then at the newly connected wasteland world inside her space… …and once again fell into deep thought.
