Reed, a young man that had spent his entire life in the slums wished for a miracle. He dreamt that one day he'd escape the ghetto he had been born in and travel across the world. He longed to embark on an adventure and truly begin living a real life. Alas, it was not meant to be. The stars had other plans in mind for the young man. On the night of his sixteenth birthday, he had his life flipped upside down. Caught in the midst of a confrontation between two rival gangs, Reed suffered a fatal injury. As he laid on the street, Reed couldn't help but laugh at how unfair his life had been from beginning to end. Born poor? Sure. No parents? Okay. No opportunities in life? Fine. But his own miserable life, too? "What more can I be deprived of?" Reed muttered as he struggled to keep his eyes open. A soft voice chuckled and said, "Much, much more, boy. But you'll soon have the opportunity to have all your wishes fulfilled." "...If you can earn the right to obtain them." --------------------------------------------- Let this message serve as a FINAL warning to those who have come in expecting the 'usual' type of story on this site. This is 'NOT' a wish-fulfillment based story. Please do NOT come into this novel with the expectation that you will get some kind of fearless action hero. The MC is everything but that. That he will be... this 'fearless, intrepid' person straight out of the FIRST chapter. A bold, charismatic hero with an unshakable resolve and iron will. Get that irritating preconception out of your head right now if you dare venture further into the story. I KNOW that's what you're expecting because that's the common setup with the stories on this site. I am writing a story about personal growth, above all else. Be forewarned about that. I'm serious. That means that the character has to start from the bottom and work his way UP. Not in only in terms of power, but also in the strength of his character -- as in, maturing INTO someone who will become a hero. Not over the course of a SINGLE chapter like some stories do. Not in SINGLE arc, or volume, but over the course of the ENTIRE STORY. My main character starts off as COWARDLY, INDECISIVE, and WHINY. He is by NO measure a heroic person, or EVEN a whole person. He is weak-willed and flawed because that is how I HAVE WRITTEN him to be, for good reason. Now, it's your right to DISLIKE this decision I've made and not read the novel because of that. Absolutely. If you want an OP power-fantasy, then go find it elsewhere on the site. You do you. Don't let me or anyone stop you from reading what you want. But if you read my novel for what it is and then give it a poor review, criticizing it for having a "flawed, detestable, and pathetic main character," I WILL delete your goddamned review on that point alone. tl;dr: My main character isn't fucking He-Man and the Terminator's baby. He's a human being with all the ugly, pathetic parts you don't like seeing in your OP Reincarnation novels. ------------------------------------------------- Any comment or review you'd leave for the novel is worth more than gold to me. Have a good one.

A '70s Flash Marriage: Raising Cubs, Making Millions

Fu Xiaoxiao transmigrates into a book and immediately faces the crisis of being sent to the countryside. As the unloved middle child, her younger sister is the one meant to go — but her mother transfers her job to the sister instead. A disaster of a start. To avoid being sent away, she has to marry within seven days. She meets a few ordinary men and decides she'd rather go to the countryside. Then she runs into a neighbor who's also looking for a spouse — and his conditions are surprisingly good. A dowry of three hundred? Bicycles and a radio? Just take care of the kids, and separate rooms are fine? The others may pass, but she won't. Every day is a battle of wits with the two kids. Life is eventful, she gets a salary every month, and the boss is never home. Absolutely perfect. Except... wasn't this big shot supposed to be infertile? Then why does he keep strutting around naked in front of her? She has professional ethics. She won't be seduced by a good body. Hmph. Men only slow down her sword swing. Lu Feng grits his teeth at Fu Xiaoxiao, who remains completely unmoved by his countless attempts to seduce her, and traps her in his arms. "Boss, let's talk this through. I know forty a month is a bit much — how about... five less?" Trapped in his embrace, Fu Xiaoxiao thinks he's unhappy with her high salary and starts bargaining. "I'm giving myself to you for free." Lu Feng grinds out through clenched teeth. This woman has no heart. "...Can I say no?" Fu Xiaoxiao swallows, staring at the washboard abs so close. "Such a good deal — are you sure you don't want it?" Lu Feng squints, tempting her. "Fine." A fool turns down a bargain.

The Barrett was a heavy sniper rifle developed and produced by the American Barrett Company. The Barrett M82A1 was one of them. It was known as the "Light 50" because it used a large caliber of 12.7mm ammunition and had great power. The Barrett sniper rifle was used by the military and law enforcement agencies of many countries and regions. It had powerful penetrative, armor-piercing, and lethality. In addition, China's M99 sniper rifle was also voted as one of the top five sniper rifles in the world. Russia's KLVK anti-material rifle was also a large-caliber sniper rifle that could fire 12.7mm sniper bullets with a maximum effective range of 2000 meters. As for Barrett's performance in the NBA draft and other irrelevant information, it had nothing to do with the Barrett sniper rifle.

How does the 'Malcolm X Graphic Novel' represent Malcolm X's character?
The graphic novel probably represents Malcolm X's character through his actions and words. His charisma could be depicted in how he interacts with others in the story. His courage in standing up against injustice would be a key aspect of his character representation. It may also show his evolution as a person, from his more radical views early on to a more inclusive stance later in his life.

Is there a Barrett in the novel?
There was a Barrett gun in the novels of the past few years. Ye Qingmei was the first user of the Barrett. She had used the Barrett four times in the Qing Dynasty. The first time was when she had helped the Qing Emperor ascend to the throne. She had used the Barrett to kill the two kings fighting for the throne. Fan Xian also used the Barrett gun to shoot the Qing Emperor's arm. Fan Ruoruo also used the Barrett gun. Therefore, Qing Yu Nian's Barrett gun was taken out and used many times.

Barrett Sniper
In Joy of Life, Fan Xian had indeed taken the Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle and successfully killed Yan Xiaoyi with a precise shot. The box Fan Xian's mother had left behind contained the sniper rifle and a letter for Fan Xian and Wu Zhu. Fan Ruoruo also became a female sniper in the movie and used a Barrett sniper rifle. The Barrett sniper rifle was also widely used in reality. It had extremely high accuracy and firepower, and was considered a relatively good weapon.

Barrett Prototype
The prototype of the Barrett was the Barrett.50BMG rifle, completed in 1982. Barrett was originally a commercial photographer and had no training in firearm design. When he was taking pictures of a US military patrol boat, he was attracted by the two M2.50 caliber heavy machine guns equipped on the boat, which led to the idea of designing a large-caliber semi-automatic sniper rifle. In less than a year, Barrett designed and manufactured a prototype rifle. Later, he set up his own company and began trial production of the M82 large-caliber semi-automatic sniper rifle. The prototype of the Barrett rifle was different from the initial production model in terms of the muzzle mechanism. Later, the improved version added a double-plate muzzle brake to reduce the recoil. Barrett rifles were very popular in the civilian market and were used by military and police units in many countries around the world.
