Werewolves were always told that they could never be mates with a vampdragon; there was never a real problem until Faye, the beta of Howlers pack, found her mate who happened to be a vampdragon. In 2022 Scientists found an opening to a gate that leads to another dimension in the northernmost of Ohio. They decided to use the gate to travel to the other dimension, and explore it. However, when they arrived in the other dimension, they found that it was full of monsters. These monsters were called the "Shadowfell", and they were very powerful. The scientists were able to defeat some of the monsters, but many more escaped back into the other dimension.

"And you have grown more cruel," Phoebus retorted, summoning his strength to counterattack. He thrust his spear skyward, and a column of pure light descended from the heavens, engulfing Hardy.
