The Unicorn's Forest

The Unicorn's Forest

My current situation for writing in RL is a bit chaotic. That means I might not update as quickly as I would like to, but I'll post at my usual pace of one part every other day and hope that my schedule will become more stable over time. Though if I'm late on updating, please be patient with me. It's likely because of the chaos in my life that's causing the delay. Vol 1: The Unicorn's Forest Charlie Rivers is a 14-year old girl who is trying to get through high school without being noticed when she finds herself hearing a voice asking for help when she is only one of two who can hear it. She agrees, despite the fact the other person is someone she doesn't like. When she meets the 'voice' that needed help, she learns that it's a unicorn, yet she's the only one who seems to be able to see the horn. Everyone else thinks it's a horse. Charlie also learns that by having agreed to help the unicorn, she'd gotten herself involved with a group of friends, including the other person who can hear the unicorn, that she hadn’t been really involved with before. Not only is it changing her normal schedule drastically, given she hadn’t hung out with anyone before, but even her personal space seems under attack at times. As she continues to help the unicorn, she funds that going back to how she was isn’t as attractive as it had once been, before she was helping the unicorn but also she wonders if she really would want to. *Minor spoiler in the synopsis for vol. 2 if you haven't read vol. 1* Vol 2: Tip of Other Worlds Charlie and her friends begin traveling to other worlds in search of the world that the griffin canyon connects to. While they do that, Charlie finds herself torn with wanting to grow her relationship with Alex and beginning the expedition through different worlds. Then as the expedition begins, she finds more than she ever expected to find on other worlds, but ever in the back of her mind is the dream she had in which Beth, her best friend, dies in. A dream she's determined to keep from happening, even if she has to sacrifice the friendship that's come to mean so much to her. *Minor spoilers in vol. 3 synopsis* Vol. 3: Acclimating to a New World Charlie leaves her friends and is taken by The Lost. Her friends continue on and encounter a family who has the same disease they had just recovered from. While helping them, they learn about how this world is that of a matriarchal society and has been since ancient times. What that means they can't say, only that it's going to be awkward. Charlie comes to after a while, feeling like her brain had been I'm a fog and that she had been in a waking dream, only to find she's naked and in a kind of cage where she learns she's been taken as a slave. While she has no idea how this happened, she's determined to find a chance to successfully get out of that situation. Mature content will be either through implications or will only extend to the edge of it. The cover art was ai generated. The Forest Spirit who sought the Gods

The Forest Spirit who sought the Gods

After the Gods of Time, Nature and the Elements created this world, they took a rest under the shade of a tree they created. Thanking their creation for helping them back with its shade, they gave the tree sentience, blessed him and called him a friend. Now the Gods are half-asleep, content with only watching. The world has breathed for millenia, and the blessed tree still watches over the forest around himself. The world has changed and his life comes to an end, surrounded by loneliness. Gathering what's left of his strength, he passes his torch on, in the hope of giving a last goodbye to his friends, wherever they may be and whenever they would see. Meet and follow his first and last creation he passes his will to, a one of a kind forest spirit with... abilities (wouldn't want to spoil too much here now, would I?). Curious and cute, he will travel and meet new people, discovering the world he's in, to try and give a last goodbye to the three creation gods in his dad-tree's place. ------ It's my first time writing a novel! So bash me as much as you like (within reason, of course). I appreciate any and all feedback. ------ This will be a world of humans, humanoïds, beasts, magic, and a heartwarming tale of travels across it. It won't always be butterflies, roses and friendship though, heavy moments are there too. Also : depictions of violence, blood and gore, nudity, strong language, alcohol and other classic +17 stuff. To the reader's discretion. Don't hesitate to stop by on my discord server for some idle chit-chat and angry complaints when the characters you're attached to get in a tight spot. ------ You can join my discord server if you want to talk to me about the story! The theme of the minuet
The theme of the novel Minuet showed transcendence, expressing the helplessness of giving up the original spiritual home of people in social life in order to accelerate the progress of the increasingly industrialized city. Through the old man in the park, he reminisced about the romantic and comfortable style of the city in the past. Through his current life, he set off from the level of love to highlight the social atmosphere at that time. In addition, although the novel was not enough to represent Mo's naturalism, it was full of emotion. It created the image of a dancer couple who loved art with a subtle writing style, showing the insight and exploration of a literary master to art. It brushed away the dust of time and portrayed the people's livelihood in the interweaving of light and shadow. Read more exciting novels for free

What's the minuet in the novel?
"Minuet" may involve the following techniques: 1. ** Plot structure ** - ** Clue Setting **: There may be a character relationship or a specific behavior (such as the minuet) as a clue to run through the whole story, so that the story will unfold around it and the plot will be more compact. - ** Art of Ending **: If the ending has a certain uniqueness, such as an abrupt end or leaving a space for aftertaste, it will give the reader a different reading experience and strengthen the artistic effect of the novel. - ** Plot and Character Relationship **: The progression of the plot helps to shape the character's image. For example, the story of the old man's life and daily behavior helped to show his nostalgic personality. 2. ** Character Creation ** - ** Appearance Description **: For example, describe the old man's clothes and appearance (very thin, almost skin and bones, loves to make faces, often smiles), etc., to show his politeness, aristocratic temperament, affability, and the nostalgic characteristics that can't be integrated into the new era. - [Description of the old man's movements: Through the old man's dancing movements (a few small jumps, curtsy, kick, graceful spin, etc.), the author's complex attitude towards him is revealed. There is a certain irony in it, and it also helps to show the character's personality.] 3. ** Description of the environment (if it exists)** - ** Combination of points and aspects (if there is a social scene description)**:"Area" refers to the overall environment, and "Point" refers to the prominent characters or things in the scene. The two are combined to show the background of the story. - ** Comparisons (if there is a related scene)**: Use the contrast of different elements in the scene or the contrast of the same element before and after to highlight the content. - ** Simple sketch or detailed description (if it involves the background of the character's activities or the description of the character itself)**: Use simple or detailed pen and ink to highlight the relevant content. Read more exciting novels for free

How to write the novel appreciation of minuet
In order to write a good appreciation of the novel "Minuet" by Moupassant, one could start from the following aspects: ** 1. Character Image Analysis ** 1. ** Grasping the details ** - In " Minuet," there were many details about the characters. For example, the description of the old man's clothes. He wore leather shoes with silver buttons, short pants, a long coat, a gray top hat, and a gorgeous cane with a gold head. These descriptions revolved around the word "courtesy", reflecting his politeness and aristocratic temperament, but also implying that he was conservative and outdated, reflecting his nostalgic character. - The old man's appearance was very thin, almost skin and bones, which had something to do with his nostalgia and inability to integrate into the new era. He liked to make faces and often smiled, showing an amiable side. - The old man's actions, such as small jumps, curtseys, kicks, and rotations, were described in a sarcastic and mocking manner. The expressions such as " slender legs "," fairly nimble ", and " twisting his puppet-like body " not only showed that he was old and frail, but also implied that his movements were like remnants of the old era and seemed uncoordinated. - As for the old woman, she wore a black dress. When this color was associated with the scene of the two dancing minuet, it could be understood as a symbol of the funeral of an outdated era. When they danced, they acted like children, stiff and stiff like little puppets. These movements reflected their state of being molded by the old fashion of the old times. 2. ** Character image and era connection ** - The image of the old couple was a symbol of the old era. They were immersed in the lifestyle and fashion of the past and could not fully adapt to the new era. Their nostalgia was not only reflected in their clothes and movements, but also in their feelings for the Jardins du luxemberg. They regarded the park as their joy and life, which reflected their close relationship with the old times. ** 2. Thematic Exploration ** 1. ** The transition between the old and new eras and attitudes ** - Through the perspective of "I", the novel shows a complicated attitude towards the new and old times. " I " didn't completely deny the old era. I mocked and mocked the old people, but I also felt pity and sympathy for them. For example, seeing an old man dance was both funny and sad, which meant that " I " had a certain understanding of the old times. At the same time," I ", as a young man of the new era, could not fully accept the changes of the new era." I don't like noise ", and I was looking for peace in the old era's Jardins de luxemberg. This reflected " my " confusion in the transition between the old and the new era. 2. ** The passing of time and sadness ** - The old couple's minuet dance was like a funeral for an outdated era. The detailed description of them hugging and crying after the dance was full of sadness for the passing of the old era. This kind of sadness also infected " me " and became the emotional tone that ran through the novel. For example, the " trauma " and " scar " in the depths of " me " reflected the helplessness and complex emotions of the changing times. ** III. Appreciation of artistic features ** 1. ** The role of describing details ** - A large number of details in the text played a big role. Through the description of the old couple's clothing, appearance, movements and other details, the characters were vividly displayed, and at the same time, the characteristics of the era were deeply reflected. These details were like pieces of a puzzle, piecing together the style of the entire old era and the state of the characters in the changing times. 2. ** The use of symbolism ** - The Jardins du luxemberg was a symbol of the old times. The old couple danced minuets in the park. It carried their past and represented the joy and life of the old times. The old woman's black dress also symbolized the funeral of the old era. The use of these symbolic techniques made the theme of the novel more obscure and profound, allowing the readers to constantly think and excavate the deeper meaning behind the novel. Read more exciting novels for free

How to write the plot summary of the minuet in the novel
The plot of " Minuet " mainly revolved around " my " experience in the nursery of the Jardin du luxemberg. " I " was young and sentimental, and loved to walk here. Here," I " often met an oddly dressed little old man, who later aroused " my " great interest. After " I " got to know him, I learned that he was once a dance teacher at the opera house during the Louis Fifteen era. His cane was a gift from Count de Clermont. His wife, La Castelli, was once a great dancer. When " I " asked the old dancer to explain the minuet, he first praised the minuet in an exaggerated style, and then wanted to show it to " me " with his wife. The novel used the old man in the park to recall the romantic and comfortable style of the city in the past, expressing the helplessness of giving up the spiritual home in social life in order to accelerate the progress of the increasingly industrializing city. At the same time, the social atmosphere at that time was highlighted from the love level of the old man. Read more exciting novels for free

Analysis of the Technique of Character Image in Minuet Fictions
When analyzing the expression techniques of the characters in Minuet, we can start from two aspects: direct description and side contrast. In terms of direct description, he highlighted the old dancer's personality by describing his outdated clothes and puppet-like dance moves, indicating that he was a nostalgic person. From his words and actions, like the endless chatter about the minuet, the dialogue with "me", such as "Sir, it is the queen of the dance, the dance of the queens." Do you understand? Since the king is gone, there has been no minuet." Wait, it could directly show his love for minuet dancing and his nostalgia for the past. In terms of side effects, he described the environment he was in, the Nurseries of the Jardin du luxemberg, which was related to his past memories, and reflected his character characteristics from the side. At the same time, his interaction with his wife, such as his wife's reaction when he mentioned the minuet, also indirectly highlighted his persistence in the minuet and his nostalgia for his past life. In addition, the observation perspective of the "me" in the article also played a side role. The series of actions of the old dancer in the "me" eyes helped to shape his nostalgic image. Read more exciting novels for free

A detailed interpretation of the college entrance examination novel minuet
The Minuet was a poetic novel that could be interpreted in detail from the following aspects: ** 1. Character Portrayal ** 1. ** Old Man ** - ** Description of clothes **: He wore leather shoes with silver buttons, short pants with a flap, a long brown suit, a gray hat with a wide brim, and a gorgeous cane with a gold inlaid head. This kind of clothing revolved around "etiquette", reflecting politeness and aristocratic temperament, but it was also implied by the author as "antique", showing its conservative, outdated, and old-fashioned characteristics. Overall, it reflected his nostalgic character. - ** Appearance Description **: Very thin, almost skin and bones, loves to make faces and often smiles. His thinness was related to his nostalgia, which made it difficult for him to adapt to the new era. His smile showed his affability, which was also part of his aristocratic temperament. - ** Description of the movements **: First, it was a small jump, followed by a curtsy, followed by a jump with slender legs, and then an elegant spin. The body twisted and turned, nodding to the air. Among them," slender legs " was sarcastic," fairly neat " meant that old people had trouble walking," puppet-like body twisting and turning " was full of sarcasm," moving and funny " reflected the contradiction between elegance and incongruity, and " he was dancing " was a surprised and unexpected sarcastic tone. 2. ** Old lady ** - ** Description of clothing **: Wearing a black dress. - [Description of movements: When dancing with the old man, sometimes forward, sometimes backward, like a child putting on airs, bending down, like a small puppet, stiff and stiff.] The description here shows that they were influenced by the old fashion, and the old woman's black dress also hinted at the funeral of an outdated era. ** 2. Thematic Connotation ** 1. ** The passing of time ** - The two old men danced as if they were mourning for an outdated era. In the current dance situation, their movements were not coordinated and stiff, not only because of their physical age, but also symbolized the disappearance of the old fashion. 2. ** Complicated feelings for the old times ** - The author looked at them with indescribable sadness, feeling both sad and ridiculous. The two old men hugged each other and cried after the dance. This was the last minuet dance as an emotional vent after the funeral ceremony. It was both a nostalgia for the old times and a helplessness towards their inevitable disappearance. Read more exciting novels for free
