The story takes place in an ancient middle European inspired lower world. The land is ruled by kings, emperors, dukes, counts, barons, noble houses, bloodlines, old magic, and brutal inheritance laws. Power comes from magic, noble blood, family bloodline abilities, ancient contracts, monster blood, royal blessings, and inherited mana. Nobles believe blood decides everything. A person born from a pure noble bloodline is treated like heaven’s chosen. A bastard born from mixed blood is treated like dirt. That is why Lucard Vardros is hated. He is known as the Mudblood Heir of House Vardros. But secretly, Lucard is not a weak bastard. He is the reincarnation of the ancient Blood God. His only true power is Blood Absorption.
