SINOPSIS Harapan , semua orang butuh harapan dalam hidupnya. Untuk bangkit dari rasa putus asa. Me-restart ulang setiap kegagalan dalam hidupnya. Escada Hope, memulai hari-hari dengan penuh sukacita. Ia berjalan dengan pasti. Mengerjakan apa yang ia percayai. Ia adalah seorang penulis baru. Gajinya tak banyak. Tapi ia menyukai pekerjaan pilihanya itu. Bagi wanita ini, gagal itu biasa, berusaha adalah suatu keharusan. Itulah doa yang tersirat dari namanya, Hope yang berarti harapan. Suatu hari, kepercayaan diri Hope akan harapan harus diuji. Bukan hanya satu dua kali. Pertama, ia harus kehilangan pekerjaan impiannya. Tak ada perusahaan lain yang mau memberinya tempat. Mereka mempertanyakan, bagaimana kredibilitas Hope sebagai penulis, mengingat ia harus diberhentikan dalam waktu kurang dari dua bulan. Tak hanya sampai di situ. Seseorang yang telah menghancurkan hidup Hope hanya dalam satu kali tatap mata. Rasa benci juga dendam yang mendarah daging memaksa Hope melampiaskan semua kekesalanya pada Defiance. Ia memutuskan mundur dari proyek penulisan. Tak ingin semua rencananya kacau, Tiger berusaha keras memohon kepada Hope. Ia menceritakan, tragedi besar yang menimpa Artha. Tepat sehari sebelum mereka mengikat janji. Bagaimana awal, dan bagaimana ia menghabiskan sisa hidupnya selama sepuluh tahun dalam penyesalan. Ia tak ingin tragedi yang menimpa Artha terulang. Dan satu-satunya alasan, mengapa Hope harus diberhentikan pada saat itu adalah, kemiripan antara Hope dengan Artha.

Pada bulan kedelapan kehamilan, air ketubanku pecah. Aku menahan rasa sakit yang hebat dan memohon kepada suamiku Dashiell untuk membawaku ke rumah sakit. Ketika aku tertutup embun beku dan hampir menjadi patung es, Dashiell akhirnya menarikku keluar dengan jaring ikan. Dia menendang wajahku: "Ketika kita menikah, aku bilang padamu bahwa aku tidak suka wanita pencemburu!" Kemudian aku mengetahui bahwa patung es yang rusak itu adalah hadiah dari si putih bulan miliknya. Aku dan bayi dalam perutku adalah mainan beku untuk melampiaskan amarahnya.
