ELYR
Every 1,200 years, a Black Eclipse darkens the sky — and legend says a door between two worlds opens.
Aarav, a 22-year-old photographer haunted by the deaths of his parents and little sister, climbs a mountain to capture the rare event on camera. There, he meets a lonely seven-year-old boy who believes his father will come for him when the black sun rises. When the boy walks toward the edge of a cliff as if called by something unseen, Aarav dives after him without a second thought — and both fall to their deaths together.
But death is not the end. A voice beyond time itself declares: *"Two Souls Selected."*
The two are reborn as twin brothers in a new world — **Asteria**, a land of nine continents, ancient magic, and warring kingdoms. The elder twin, **Aren**, remembers everything from his life on Earth. The younger, **Noel**, remembers nothing at all — not even that he was the boy Aarav once tried to save.
In Asteria, power flows through a **Soul Sigil** — a mark that binds every person to one of many Paths: Sword, Flame, Shadow, Time, and more. Noel is born a prodigy, his sigil blazing with rare talent. Aren is born with nothing — no sigil at all. The world calls him broken, until he discovers the truth: he carries something far older and rarer than any Path — an **Origin Core**, the root from which every Path is born. It comes at a price. Mastery is slow, brutal, and lonely, forcing Aren to grow through sheer will rather than gift.
As the brothers grow — Aren calm, protective, relentless; Noel bright, gifted, and full of light — their bond becomes the heart of a much larger mystery. Why were they the only two souls chosen in over a thousand years? Where did the gods who once ruled Asteria disappear to? And who is the shadow that watched them the moment they were reborn?
At the edge of the world stands **Azrael**, the being every kingdom calls the Demon King — feared, hunted, and yet strangely selective in his violence. He has never harmed an innocent. He kills only kings, heroes, and saints, believing this broken cycle of worlds must be ended, not saved. What no one remembers is that Azrael was once chosen too — a hero from another Earth, another eclipse, another life — and something in that life shattered him beyond repair.
As Aren rises through the Paths and Noel's natural brilliance draws him toward Azrael's shadowed continent, the brothers are pulled — separately, then together — toward a truth buried for twelve thousand years: that only twenty souls have ever crossed between worlds, and every single one of them became a legend. A hero. A saint. A demon king. A dragon emperor.
Except one. A name erased from history entirely.
Through love found in unlikely places — Aren with the cold, guarded ice mage **Lyra**, and Noel with **Selene**, an outcast girl the world calls a monster — through war, betrayal, and the slow unraveling of what the Black Eclipse truly is, the brothers move toward a reckoning neither can face alone.
Because deep beneath every legend, every cycle, every chosen soul, lies a truth no god was ever meant to reveal — and a debt between two brothers that spans two lifetimes, waiting to be repaid.
*Sometimes God doesn't give you a second life to make you a hero. He gives it to you so you can finish someone else's.*
