What would you do if one day you were told you were one of the chosen who would have to battle to save the world? Akio was an average guy, having moved to the big city from his humble town in the mountains. Sure, his IT freelancing job wasn't making him big money, and he wasn't exactly a hit with the ladies, but life wasn't all that bad... until one day a mysterious angel-like being visited him to tell him the Earth was in danger. Many would be chosen to fight this fate, but would any succeed? Of course, if one could have the usual cheat skills everything would work out, wouldn't it? So why was his skill like a garbage pay-to-win mobile game? Akio would have to not only hone his skills and build his Astral Empire, but he would need to raise money, secure land and become a player on Earth too! Facing this challenging task alone would surely be impossible, so Akio needs to make strong and beautiful allies to take on all those who would oppose him. Who would that be, you ask? The old myths of Earth are returning, alien invaders are waiting outside on the Astral Tides, Cultivators are looking for their next faces to slap, Demons are whispering poison into the ears of anyone who would listen, and whoever was trying to save Earth by granting various people powers were making some really awful choices... Join Akio as he starts at the bottom of the ladder, clawing his way to the top and discovering one can change their destiny, so long as they work hard (and have a boat-load of money!). [This story is a modern world LitRPG where I try and balance the real world, the other world and various character-development scenarios. The pace can be described as 'measured', as there is a lot of 'slice-of-life' style events to balance 'number-go-up' and Territory capture] What can you expect from this story? MC and side characters who are flawed and make mistakes, but ultimately grow and change, bettering themselves and the world around them. Yes, the MC does start off a bit weak and whiny, but he does get over it as the story progresses. It's a slow burn though. Likewise Harem and romance. it is most definitely harem, though again it's a slow burn and not easy to reach. There are some r18 scenes with them, but these don't happen until a fair way into the story. Real-world consequences of power. I'm trying to explore this slowly, so expect politics down the line. Base-building in both the real and the other world, growing power, money, influence and more. it's a slow burn but a focus. Cultivators, Faeries, Demons, Gods and more, though again, it takes a while for more and more of these to appear.

THE DEBT BRIBE

THE DEBT BRIBE

THE DEBT BRIDE Ava Merritt has spent her entire adult life cleaning up after her father's disasters. The remortgage. The failed investments. The loans from men whose names aren't spoken at Christmas. This one is different. This one has a name: Zane Holloway. Private equity. Old Chicago money rebuilt from nothing. The kind of man who takes up space in a room without raising his voice or moving quickly — whose stillness is what people find unsettling long after they've forgotten everything else about the meeting. The debt is real. The offer is clean. One year as Zane's fiancée to satisfy the conditions of his grandmother's estate, and every dollar her father owes disappears overnight. Her law school tuition — all three remaining years — paid in full before noon. Ava is a paralegal. She reads contracts for a living. She reads this one three times. She signs it anyway. What she doesn't read carefully enough is clause 14, subsection C — buried on page forty-seven, written in the precise, unhurried language of a man who builds traps the way other men build companies. The clause that tells her Zane Holloway has maintained documented familiarity with her professional record, her academic standing, and her personal circumstances for a period no less than twenty-four months prior to the execution of this agreement. Two years. He knew about the debt before her father sat down at that poker table. He knew about the tuition. He knew about the specific number that would make her sign. He didn't find her. He waited for her to find him. Now she lives in his penthouse on the 72nd floor with Lake Michigan spread black and glittering below and a man across the hall who planned every inch of this and still — somehow — looks at her like she is the one thing in his life he didn't see coming. Ava has two choices. Find a way out of a contract she signed with her eyes open. Or find out why a man who controls everything chose to let her in. One year. One contract. One truth buried deep enough that pulling it out will change everything — including her.

What is the nature of the 'bribe to be manhwa'?
I think 'bribe to be manhwa' could imply a manhwa where someone is attempting to bribe their way to a certain outcome. Or perhaps it's a manhwa that focuses on the theme of bribery and its effects. It's quite ambiguous though.

Receiving 200 red packets is considered a bribe?
Based on context alone Whether it was considered a bribe could not be judged solely based on the amount. If the 200 yuan red packet was given in normal interpersonal relationships, such as between relatives and friends based on human relationships (such as birthdays, festivals, etc.), and there was no improper purpose such as exchange of interests, it was not considered a bribe. However, if it was in the context of official business, business transactions, and the exercise of authority, accepting a 200-yuan red envelope and related to seeking illegitimate interests (such as providing convenience for the other party in the process of approval, bidding, law enforcement, etc.), it may be regarded as a kind of bribery. Even if the amount was small, it violated the principles of honesty, fairness, and relevant regulations. The novel "Don't Consume My Identity" is equally exciting. Everyone is welcome to click and read it!
