On the evening of October 20th, 2024, at 19:30, the 32nd China Golden Eagle Awards Ceremony and the 15th China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival Closing Ceremony were held in Changsha Colorful Box. This year's Golden Eagle Festival awards ceremony had many characteristics. From the stage layout, it was relatively simple. Some netizens even complained that it was like a meeting. The size of the venue was reduced, and there were only a few rows of seats for the stars. However, this also reflected the trend of taking a high-quality route. It paid more attention to the recognition of outstanding works and actors than the excitement of the scene. In terms of awards, the value of the award had increased. The list of winners reflected that they valued strength more than fame and popularity. For example, Fan Wei competed for the Best Actor Award with The Long Season (although he was not present), Gao Ye won the Best Supporting Actress Award with Hurricane, Zhao Liying won the Best Actress Award again and won both the Golden Eagle Award and the Fei Tian Award within a year with Wind Blows the Summer, and director Yang Lei won the Best Director Award with The Three-Body Problem. Many celebrities attended the gala. For example, Yan Ni almost fell down on the red carpet, and Zhou Shen and Tan Songyun helped her in time; Guan Xiaotong's style was a topic of conversation; He Jiong's gift-giving session had a meaning, such as giving Zhao Liying a paper knife to "expand the territory", giving Li Qin a chicken leg pillow, etc. In addition, there were many forms of artistic performances such as singing and dancing, skits, and recitals. There were also interaction sessions to enhance the audience's sense of participation and belonging. The change in the Golden Eagle Awards this year reflected the shift from a flashy entertainment show to a professional award that focused more on acting and the quality of the work. It was more in line with the audience's expectations of acting and the quality of the work.
