A young man named Felkin is left in a mysterious ruin with no memories except his name and no possessions naught but the clothes on his back and a blade with the ability to extend seemingly endlessly. The Smiling, Proud Wanderer is a wuxia novel by Jin Yong (Louis Cha). It was first serialized in Hong Kong in the newspaper Ming Pao from 20 April 1967 to 12 October 1969.
