As he got nearer, he could see the figure more clearly. It was a ghostly apparition of a soldier. The ghost seemed to be reliving a battle, his eyes filled with a haunted look. The man was frozen in fear, unable to move as the ghost turned its gaze towards him.
Suddenly, the wind picked up and the fog swirled around them. The ghost started to fade away. But before it completely disappeared, it pointed towards a small patch of ground. The next day, the man dug at that spot and found an old, rusty medal. He realized it must have been the soldier's, and after that, he never saw the ghost again.
