Pangu gave birth to Taiji, and the two yin and yang and four images follow. One way passed on to three friends, and the two religions were divided into Chan and Jie. The Storm Calling Buddha/ Alternate Title: The Cult of Immortality A world set on the basis of 'might makes right'. A world where clear lines were drawn between mortals and immortals, the lower and the higher. A world where cultivation was real, where going against the heavens was considered the only meaningful way to live. That was the world that Luke Griffiths, or rather Mo Yangling found himself in now. How would he, a devout Buddhist and avid reader of Wuxia novels fare in such a world? And was it really going to be the exact same as the many stories he had read in the past? That only time could tell... ___________________________________________ Also, another good tag for this that I couldn't find would be 'Strong to Stronger MC' Just felt the need to add this here.

The Laughing Man: A Romance of English History — Rafafederico This novel weaves together themes of social injustice and political critique against the backdrop of English history. At its core stands Gwynplaine, a man marked by cruelty — his disfigured face serving as a haunting reflection of humanity’s indifference toward the marginalized. The story opens with Ursus, a wandering philosopher and juggler, and his companion Homo, a domesticated wolf. Together, they roam from place to place, performing for the public while living a nomadic life. From the very beginning, the narrative immerses readers in a sense of loneliness and abandonment. A young child, left behind after a group of ragged travelers hastily departs by sea, becomes the embodiment of fate’s cruelty. Forced to confront solitude and survival, the child’s struggle sets the stage for a profound exploration of suffering, identity, and resilience in a world both beautiful and brutal. Ultimately, The Laughing Man invites readers to reflect on how, even amid despair and deformity, the human spirit continues to seek love, meaning, and hope.

Born beneath the sacred Bodhi tree, Surya entered the world not as a mere child, but as a Buddha—fully enlightened, his mind blazing with the clarity of a thousand lifetimes. Yet, unlike those who came before him, Surya did not preach only stillness or peace. The world called him the "Rebel Buddha," for he was the one who dared to redefine enlightenment itself. "True wisdom," he declared, "is not found in submission, but in shattering the chains that bind us." In a realm where the paths to spiritual awakening are paved with silence and submission, Surya’s existence is a revolt against fate. He tears down the old doctrines, proclaiming, "A caged bird may sing, but it will never soar." His teachings are as much about inner freedom as they are about breaking the shackles of oppression. To him, enlightenment is not an escape from the world, but a fierce engagement with it. "if I must kill in order to maintain my path of freedom, then thousands must die." Surya’s journey is one of fire and defiance—rallying the oppressed, challenging the heavens, and forging a new way for those who would follow. "I do not seek nirvana," he declares to gods and men alike, "I seek the unyielding flame of freedom." His path is one of conflict and revolution, where each step threatens to overturn the ancient order.
