The TV series adapted from "The Rider" was called "Meeting You for the First Time, Just Like an Old Friend Returning." The plot was as follows: In the first part,"Getting to Know You," the demon tamer Ji Yunhe met the mermaid Changyi by chance. At that time, Ji Yunhe was a glamorous spirit tamer (the demon tamer was changed to a spirit tamer in the drama), and Changyi was a battered caged beast. Immortal Fairy Shunde (originally Princess Shunde) hunted a merman named Changyi and wanted to find someone to tame him. She made three wishes, which were that the merman could speak human language, that his fish tail would change into legs, and that he would only belong to her in this life and not betray her. Ji Yunhe, as the most powerful demon tamer in the Demon Taming Valley (changed to the Ten Thousand Flower Valley in the drama), accepted the job of taming her. However, during the process of getting along, the two gradually fell in love. In order to protect Changyi, Ji Yunhe had no choice but to do some things that hurt him, such as saying heartless words to drive Changyi away. Although Changyi had been hurt, he had always been infatuated with Ji Yunhe. In order to save Ji Yunhe, he was willing to endure the pain, such as pulling out his scales. In the second part,"Just Like an Old Friend Returning," Ji Yunhe unfortunately became the medicine man of the state preceptor and was tortured in the dungeon. Changyi imprisoned Ji Yunhe after his strength increased greatly, but this was also because of his complicated feelings for Ji Yunhe. He had both hatred and love. In the end, the two of them went through the storm and never left each other. They broke the barrier between the two worlds, broke free from the shackles, saved each other's lives and souls, and protected the common people together. However, there were many changes to the original plot during the adaptation of the TV series. For example, the identity of the characters changed, such as changing ordinary people into immortals, demons into earth immortals, etc. There were also differences in special effects and character shaping from the original. In addition, kissing scenes were added to increase emotional scenes. The Demon Expelling Order novel is equally exciting. Everyone is welcome to click and read it!
