On October 3rd of the same year, they returned to Earth after completing a 203-day mission at the space station. On September 28th, 2024, Nick Haig took off from the US state of California on the Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station. This was his third mission (the first flight was returned due to a rocket failure), and he would enter the International Space Station for the second time. During the March 2019 flight, he served as a space station flight engineer during the 59th and 60th Expedition Missions, performing three spacewalks in orbit, upgrading the space station's power system, and installing docking adapters for commercial spacecraft. Nick Haig was also an active colonel in the U.S. Space Force. He completed a development rotation in the U.S. Department of Defense and served as the Space Force's test and evaluation director from 2020 to 2022.
