High School DxD: I Reincarnated as Cú Chulainn [Lancer]
He slipped on a banana peel.
That's how it ended — twenty-something years of life, gone in an instant of spectacular, humiliating bad luck. But when he opened his eyes again, he found himself staring at the reflection of a boy with vivid blue hair and crimson eyes, in a world where druids heal kings, gods walk the earth, and magic is as real as the mud on his sandals.
He had been reincarnated as Setanta — the legendary Irish hero who would one day be called Cú Chulainn.
The problem? He barely remembers anything about the legend. The bigger problem? He's just figured out which universe he's actually in.
*High School DxD.*
Two thousand years before the canon. Before the Satans, before the Rating Games, before any of the chaos he vaguely remembers from a show he's a little embarrassed to have watched. Right now there are only warring kingdoms, bloodthirsty savages, demons from Hell making inconvenient political moves, and one Dragon God of Infinity who keeps showing up uninvited in a gothic lolita dress to watch his life unfold like a live television drama.
He didn't ask for a harem. He's not building one. He has principles — or at least, he insists that he does.
What he *does* have is the bloodline of the God of Light, a spear that's seen better days, the battle-scarred wisdom of the greatest warrior teacher in the known world, and the unsettling suspicion that the Goddess of War has already written his future in ink he hasn't been allowed to read yet.
The world of DxD is two millennia away from its own story. But that doesn't mean it's quiet.
And somewhere between killing his first demon, earning a legendary name he never planned for, and training under a woman who is equal parts terrifying and magnificent — a man from the twenty-first century is slowly, reluctantly, becoming a legend.
He just wishes the universe had picked someone who knew more Irish mythology.
