After engaging Soundwave in a fight Soundwave uses his Space Bridge powers to transport Optimus to another universe. The Transformer's Animated Universe to be exact. The Space Bridge closes and Soundwave shuts down into deep stasis after expending his energon reserves to the limit that nearly took his spark with him. Optimus is trapped in Detroit.
