The Unicorn's Forest

The Unicorn's Forest

My current situation for writing in RL is a bit chaotic. That means I might not update as quickly as I would like to, but I'll post at my usual pace of one part every other day and hope that my schedule will become more stable over time. Though if I'm late on updating, please be patient with me. It's likely because of the chaos in my life that's causing the delay. Vol 1: The Unicorn's Forest Charlie Rivers is a 14-year old girl who is trying to get through high school without being noticed when she finds herself hearing a voice asking for help when she is only one of two who can hear it. She agrees, despite the fact the other person is someone she doesn't like. When she meets the 'voice' that needed help, she learns that it's a unicorn, yet she's the only one who seems to be able to see the horn. Everyone else thinks it's a horse. Charlie also learns that by having agreed to help the unicorn, she'd gotten herself involved with a group of friends, including the other person who can hear the unicorn, that she hadn’t been really involved with before. Not only is it changing her normal schedule drastically, given she hadn’t hung out with anyone before, but even her personal space seems under attack at times. As she continues to help the unicorn, she funds that going back to how she was isn’t as attractive as it had once been, before she was helping the unicorn but also she wonders if she really would want to. *Minor spoiler in the synopsis for vol. 2 if you haven't read vol. 1* Vol 2: Tip of Other Worlds Charlie and her friends begin traveling to other worlds in search of the world that the griffin canyon connects to. While they do that, Charlie finds herself torn with wanting to grow her relationship with Alex and beginning the expedition through different worlds. Then as the expedition begins, she finds more than she ever expected to find on other worlds, but ever in the back of her mind is the dream she had in which Beth, her best friend, dies in. A dream she's determined to keep from happening, even if she has to sacrifice the friendship that's come to mean so much to her. *Minor spoilers in vol. 3 synopsis* Vol. 3: Acclimating to a New World Charlie leaves her friends and is taken by The Lost. Her friends continue on and encounter a family who has the same disease they had just recovered from. While helping them, they learn about how this world is that of a matriarchal society and has been since ancient times. What that means they can't say, only that it's going to be awkward. Charlie comes to after a while, feeling like her brain had been I'm a fog and that she had been in a waking dream, only to find she's naked and in a kind of cage where she learns she's been taken as a slave. While she has no idea how this happened, she's determined to find a chance to successfully get out of that situation. Mature content will be either through implications or will only extend to the edge of it. The cover art was ai generated. What are some epping forest scary stories?
There are stories of strange noises in Epping Forest. Locals and visitors alike have reported hearing unidentifiable screeches and howls that seem to come from deep within the forest. Some believe these could be from some unknown and possibly supernatural creatures lurking in the woods. There are also tales of a ghostly carriage that is said to be seen on moonlit nights, rattling along the old forest paths as if it was still making its way through the forest from a bygone era.

Are epping forest scary stories based on real events?
Not all of them. While there may be elements of truth in some, like the idea of getting lost in the large and sometimes confusing Epping Forest which could lead to real fear and danger, stories about ghosts and otherworldly creatures are more likely fictional. People have a tendency to add a touch of the supernatural to ordinary events when they retell them in the context of a scary story. So, while the forest itself can be a bit intimidating, not all the scary stories are rooted in reality.

Tell me some of the epping forest ghost stories.
Another story involves a ghostly woman in white. She is often seen near a particular old oak tree. Some say she was a jilted lover who died in the forest long ago. Her figure is said to be translucent and she has a sad expression on her face. When people approach her, she seems to vanish into thin air, leaving only a cold chill behind.

Scary forest names for stories
The Shadowed Thicket. The word 'shadowed' makes one think of dark and hidden areas, and a thicket is a dense growth of bushes or small trees. It's a great name for a forest area that seems to be filled with things lurking in the shadows, waiting to jump out at the unsuspecting.

What makes the forest scary in these scary stories?
The forest's natural elements can be menacing. The thick foliage that blocks out the light, making it dark and gloomy. The tall trees that seem to tower over you like silent giants. In the stories, these elements often work together with the supernatural elements. For instance, when the hunter's flashlight went out in the forest during the full - moon encounter with the ghostly figure, the natural darkness of the forest enhanced the scariness of the unknown entity he was facing.

Tell me the '3 Scary Forest Stories'.
In another story of the scary forest, a hiker went in. He noticed a big, old tree with what seemed like a face carved into it. Then, he felt like something was following him. Every time he turned around, there was a rustling in the bushes. He was so terrified that he left his backpack and ran. He never went back to that forest again.

3 Scary True Forest Horror Stories
Story 1: A hiker once got lost in the forest at night. He heard strange growling noises all around him. As he tried to find his way out, he saw pairs of glowing eyes in the darkness. He ran blindly and finally found a small cabin. Inside, there were old, tattered clothes and a strange symbol painted on the wall. He stayed there until morning, too terrified to move. When dawn broke, he realized he was on the edge of a deep ravine and if he had run any further in the dark, he would have fallen to his death.

Are forest ghost stories always scary?
Not always. There are forest ghost stories that have a sad undertone rather than being purely scary. Like the story of a lost love in the forest. A couple was separated in the forest during a war. The man died, and his spirit is said to wander the forest waiting for his lover to return. It's a poignant story that makes people feel more melancholy than afraid. However, most forest ghost stories do aim to create a sense of fear as they are often told around campfires to spook people.
