Malcolm X: All Men Are Equal
Jessica Wilson was not a hero.
She was a moralless woman, a history student with poison in her heart, a liar with blonde hair, a smiling bully who hated being corrected, hated being seen, and hated anyone who dared to believe she could become something better. After murdering the only teacher stupid enough to look at her like she was worth saving, Jessica expected hell.
Instead, she woke up judged.
Reborn inside America as Malcolm Little, a young black meta-human standing before sentencing inside Middlesex Superior Court, Jessica finds herself trapped inside the sick body of a man history remembers, in a world where mankind was changed by black radium, registration laws, racial fear, government control, and the ugly truth that society only calls people human when it benefits the powerful.
White judges speak of justice.
Registration officers write down blood.
Guards hold batons like prayers.
Meta-humans are measured like weapons.
Mutants are hidden like shame.
America smiles for order while building cages beneath the floor.
And Malcolm possesses an ability carrying the most dangerous lie of all.
All Men Are Equal.
A power with a righteous name.
A power that sounds like peace.
A power that may prove equality only exists when every false throne is dragged down and every man is forced to remember the dirt beneath his feet.
Now surrounded by courtrooms, registration officers, racial hatred, frightened guards, hidden government files, unknown syndrome, and a future that was supposed to turn Malcolm Little into Malcolm X, Jessica must decide what kind of monster survives in a world like this.
Unfortunately for everyone, Jessica Wilson already knows the answer.
(Malcolm’s POV)
"Ms Johnson said I could change society if I set my mind to it." Said Malcolm with a wide eyed smile.
His eyes found the guard.
"Let’s start with you."
